i totally agree with what you said, i think in extreme cases a ban should be issued but not just for a few slip ups now and again when the filter catches them. When a person goes around the filter using things like @ and [ i can understand a ban being issued but not when someone is writing a huge long reply to something or even a short one and a swear word just gets thrown out that the filter catches. Also as for what mxjunk was saying i dont think he intended for it to turn into a fight between him and arker and the other people participating, he started off very respectful with what he was saying and things didnt get defensive until other people started getting rude and obnoxious towards him. I dont see the point to this being open to discussion when our opinions on the matter dont matter and wont change anything.

I tried to turn Waussind's birthday thread into a political argument, but freestylepro1 wouldn't take the bait.

I don't understand this whole thing, and here's why:

Back in the day I used to swear a lot, used to fight a lot with people (I love to debate, elementry name calling or articulate conversation works just as well), and so on.......but then crusty gave me a warning. He said to tone it down or be banned. I didn't want to loose access to this site so I toned it down, amazing huh??

Seriously, what is the big deal with not being able to cuss?? Why if this site is so horrible and going down the tubes are you here posting??

i still like my strike one, a week ban, strike two, banned for good.. i think like phortwunty 90% of people would learn from that point, and pretty much calm the hell down.. i think this way everyone gets what they want, mods get to ban for swearing and everyone gets 2 chances before being booted.

but then again im prolly just another idiot with stupid ideas thats just saying something thats been tried before?
