Well ladies and gents, im back from a long and PAINFULL event. I havent been on here in awhile because a couple days before spring breakstarted i was riding at our local bmx trails and i was ridin decently, but then i drop in for a few hits and on the first double i nose dive it and hit my stomach on my bars and bustr my spleen open. So im lying on the ground in pain while my friends calling my dad, and ill tell u that was the worst pain ive ever had. Well i get to the emergency room and the nurses think theres nothing wrong " oh he just wrecked on his bike?". Mean while imout side bleeding to death waiting in the van to get called in, I was out there for 4 hours and when i got in there they found out i ruptured my spleen and i was bleeding internally. They put me in the chopper and tell me ive lost 20% of my blood and it was going to be removed. I dont remember them taking my catscans or anything because i was all morphened up and chillin. So we arive at the hospital after the 9 minute heli ride that cost 15,000 bucks and they immediately operate. It was kinda wierd rememberin that then wakeing up in a hospital bed 45 mins later? Well i still cant ride for 3 more weeks and it sucks, got to go for now. buhbye

Pssh, damn nurses...I hope you feel better...The hospital should have to pay the 15,000$ bill for not fixing you the first time.

as I'm reading your post I'm thinking " Oh my God!! this poor kid!! I can't even imagine if something like that ever happened to me..." and then I get to the part above and I busted out laughing! here you are talking about this awful accident and losing 20% of your blood and all that.. then you're like "I was all morphined up and chillin" and I just thought that was soooo damn funny!

wow man thats horrible. glad you're okay though.

kinda off subject but :
ive decided the doctors here in arizona are idiots. they didnt think anything was wrong with you , and a few months back i messed me knee up and i went to the hospital here and they said nothing was wrong. well i went back to cali to visit my parents and get a second opinion and i have a torn acl , torn miniscus , sprained mcl and joint effusion.

Did they give you a catheter? When I crashed I had the handle bars of my bike split my left kideny in two and I Lost 73% of my blood and I waz legaly dead twice. But by far the worst part waz the catheter. Not cool !!!!!!! But hey they saved my life twice so I'm thankful for that.

Whats a catheder? I think i know and if im thinking of the right thing yah. I feel ok now but i cant ride for 3 weeks. Ill get nautious 1in a while but thats nothing bad. Oh, about the morphene thing im glad u got a kick out of it. When i wrote it i didnt mean for it to be funny but now that i look at it, it is pretty funny i guess.lol

ay damn that sucks.. what sucks equally mich is that u guys in us have to pay yer doctor bills and stuff.. that 15000 dollar heli ride would suck to pay for.. poor bastards, hope yer get better tho

yeah, I did get a kick out of it... but I hope I didn't hurt your feelings or anything. I know you didn't mean it to be funny... and there is nothing funny about your situation... but when I read your post.. that part just made me laugh. thanx for having a good sense of humor about it!

I know how ya feel man. I broke 4 ribs and ruptured my spleen this summer. They almost took it out, but left it in so I'd still have an immune system. Morphine is great though. You're lucky, they didn't give me any until after I had my catscans done.

BTW, I actually thought the catheter was pretty cool. I told the nurse afterward, "That was actually kinda fun"
