RM 125 fmx gearing
hi guys just looking for some advice im curently running stock gearing on my stock rm 125and dont like because 3rd does not feel long enuff so does anyone know what i should be running thanks

You riding tracks or hittin ramps? When i had my rm125 and hit ramps i left it stock and liked it, 50-55ft 2nd pinned and 70ft 3rd about 3/4 throttle

gearing
i ride tracks but im gonna be hitting some ramps soon but thanks for the advice think im just gonna keep the stock gearing.

im not too sure on this but i dont think gearing would help you out significantly on a 125
i think your just gonna have to charge it, I just dont see a 125 making the power |

You'll have to be on the gas all the time but 125s are a blast! I miss mine

I normally used a bigger sprocket on my YZ125 like a 50-51 tooth, so that it has allot more bottom end. It requires allot of fast shifting but every gear is right after the power valve is open so it has allot of quick power.
Just changing the sprocket can make huge difference on a 125. I went up to a 53 and 1st gear was gone and you started in 2nd and jumped 70’+ in 3rd pinned on a short run-up for indoor tracks. . I never had huge power shortage and you can do most jumps on a 125 just look at pastrana in the early xgames. |

You'll be fine on a stock 125. That's what I learned FMX on.
