first of all this topic belongs in the OFF TOPIC forum...
now...first make sure u cut your stuff for a reason, not just to look like an fmxer...i hate posers that cut fenders and dosent even do the tricks.
heres how i cut my grab holes:
I heated up a knife with a blowtorch, so it was almost glowing, then i cut it after the marks ive done earlier on the sidepanel. The melted edges of the plastic makes it very hard, and thats good. owell hope it works

theres been a few posts on this, and its extremely simple.
for the grab holes, all ya gotta do is trace from inside the airbox, onto the side panel, and then cut it with whatever...hacksaw, knife, jigsaw, anything sharp.
for the rear fender, ive read of 1 guy using a CD to draw the shape to cut out, so it gets a nice round curve.
Got any pics of these tricks?

A fender kiss isn't really all that hard ;) There's a big difficulty gap with your tricks.. lol.

I agree with ya SevenInd...i think this kid is confused about trick names and what the actual trick is..heres what i think he meant to say...'tsunami' = no footer '9 '0'clock nac' = candy bar and 'fender kiss' = well he got that one right...congrats to you bro...ure hardcore

Yeah man :) They don't have to be perfect or anything, they just have to serve their purpose. I mean... I took a pencil and a hacksaw and went to work on mine. I wanted to learn seat grabs... not look like I was a pro :)
Since you're working up to those big Tsunami's... you could even just take off one side panel and grab up under the frame.

February 17th, 2002, 10:52 PM
they shave the foam off the seat to make the seat thinner, or lower so its easier to bring your legs over for no footed cans, nacs, etc

February 17th, 2002, 10:56 PM
an for seat grabs ;)

February 18th, 2002, 12:16 AM
no offence but u sound like your only doing this to look good, the front fender isnt even neccesary it just makes it look more even. and if your not trying seat grabs, indian airs or other grab tricks you dont need a cut back fender

Hey cody man does your dice line up now with the cut out seat?
No. Well.. the dice kinda does.. but the rest of it doesn't even come close... lol. Here's a picture. I just got them developed tonight.
And my back fender... I just ran out and measured it. I've got 9 inches of rear fender left from the edge of my seat ;) My front fender... I just cut off a few inches to get rid of the flare that the Yamaha fenders have. I like it a lot better even with that small amount taken off.

i think some people need to lay off...seriously!!!! its like they get all offensive if someone does not know how to cut plastic good. Maybe people just like to know the easiest way or best way to do it. it does not mean they cannot do tricks. I think its wrong for people to get upset at other people who have grab holes and cut fenders that dont use them. its none of their buissnes maybe they just want to have a cool looking bike or work up to the tricks. so just LAY-OFF of the so called posers!!!!!! because its wrong!!!!
