I am really pissed right now!

We have built a huge downramp down at the local motocross track where we use our ramp. We always move the ramp away when we are not there and only let a few people who we know can jump use it, and only when we are there too. Anyway, at a meeting last night they decided that we couldn't use our ramp there at all now because they are worried about being sued. I could understand this if it wasn't for the fact that anybody can come down and use the motocross track at any time.... and they have no form of insurance against that. Hell, somebody could trip in the pits and they could get sued.

The chance of some wannabe motocrosser hurting himself and suing is much greater than any of us who are just gratefull for the place to ride! Arrrghhh!!!

We're gonna have to try to find somewhere else where we can jump now.... and build another downramp. Oh well.

hmmm, u could always try and get a form made up, saying that the club is not liable for anyone who uses the ramp or something, and anyone who jumps it has to sign it first.

Dunno if itd work, but it sounds good :D

yah it wouldnt hurt to try or you could chain it up and only give a few ppl the key to it and have then sigh or lay the ramp on its side and chain it down then nobody will jump it

just have the sign a death waver when they come to the track. lol

Thanks for the suggestions guys. We were already moving the ramp away from the downramp when we weren't there.... and we only let a few people jump it.

It looks like we are going to have to build a downramp out in the bush somewhere and hope that nobody else finds it....

well only tell the most minimal number of people that you have to..

because word will eventually get out of you tell one wrong person

well what my mom did b/c like 10 ppl ride at my house . she got legal documents made up that the kids an there parents had to sign that said if they were hurt in anyway on our property that it wasnt our fault. an the one kids dad tried to sue us casue the kid went over a jump way to big for him when no one was lookin an he said we let him do it knowing he couldnt do it an since he signed the paper all charges were ignored.
