I think Metz was the first to cut them. I saw this at the 1998 World Finals in Las Vegas. He did this after Johnny Air Time suggested it to him but Metz did not use them that night.

Don't know who was the first to USE them.

im not sure about the first one.. but i do agree its either metz or hart.... thats the only two that come to mind..... as far as the fender, im pretty sure that its clowers like crusty said.... he was the only person i saw with cut fenders for a while.... then everyone started doing it

i think faisst was the first person to cut the front fender, i saw a couple of mulisha bikes with cut fron fenders at the 2000 x games but im not sure if they were the first to do it

I hate to say this cause i seriously hate the dude but i saw Edgar Torenteras using the grabholes on his KX in 1997 at the paris supercross, as for the fender i think that was metz.
