Finally!

We finally got all the metal for our (mine and my friend's) ramp last week, along with these custom axle things and wheels. We started construction on it yesterday at about 4:00 and got sides framed up in about 2 hours. We're going to try and finish it today, but we still need to buy the surface. We WERE going to use expanded mesh, but we decided to with plywood and sandpaint. I'll have pictures soon! :cool: :D

how much do u pay for plywood these days just out of intrest

our mesh cost us $180 by the way

We don't actually have the plywood yet, but the guy that's helping us build it said it was about 60 bucks for all of it. We have taken back into consideration the expanded mesh ;)

It depends on whether or not my friends can get the expanded mesh for free from their metal shop. Otherwise, it's probably just plywood, which is just fine with me!

SevenInd, thats only 90$ US, go with the expanded mesh man, plywood isn't as weather proof, it wears down, you have to repaint and looks sh#t, i dont see the problem??? What so hard about the decision! Expanded mesh all da way!

lol.. I didn't even think about the price conversion (duh). We're going to look at 4x8 sheets of mesh today... so if the price is just a little more, then we'll definitely go with mesh. Or if we can get it free from the shop! :)

when we were building our ramp we had one side of it laying on the floor for the chalk line ect. and when we got the curved peice on we tipped it up and we were like holy ####!! it looked soooooo steep.

I've still got 15 pictures to kill on this roll before I get them developed. The ramp will be done by then! It's almost done already.

yeah dam perents mum has talked to dad much and now he is getting towards the side or not wanting to build me 1,"because you will hurt yourself" yeah but i can walk down the road and trip ova and hurt yaself so who cares!! oh well it will come 1 day, hopefully :p

ya local boy me and Mikey B said the same thing, we mellowed it out a bit cause it was on like a 45 degree angle, i think we got it alright, but we just geusstimated haha, i have no idea what the angle is ..... we have to test it out in the spring, then we'll tell ya if its good,

maybe you should try a ramp then before you build one..
the hard part about that would be finding someone with a ramp i guess (unless u know someone nearby)

If you offered to pay for it, and all the metal and work and everything, why don't you just take it all down to a machine shop with some plans and have em build it for ya?
