whats up with the "lap" counter in the upper right hand corner??? laps in freestyle? interesting. same thing with the "position" thing. hmmm...the graphics look sick though. ill definetly have to drop the loot for that one. if anyone finds out when its coming out...hit me up. latas.

i agree with Crusty on the gameplay issue. there really hasnt been a good handling MX game. ever play McGrath VS. Pastrana? that game is a joke. but ill still check it out.

i played some other MX game for PS1 the other day, and it was so boot i almost puked. when will these people learn?

The only thing I really see wrong from the pics are the bikes are a tad too skinny and there is damage (that might be a good thing tho). Its gettin released in april may or june.

I only played one good MX game and believe it or not it is for nintendo 64. i was shocked as well, its the new version called excitebike 64. its a year or so old i think, one player mode is incredible, the graphics are good, the bikes look good and they even got riders decked out in SMP and stuff, there is a freestyle section, the game play is good, but when you start playing 2 or 3 player the graphics get worse as the screen divides but other than that i would reccomend checking that out if you haven't. and you can pull sick whips by a press of a button to get higher, its great. me and mikey B played for a whole weekend, once you get the hang of it, it is damn fun! check it out,

There is one called "FreekStyle" that is coming out for PS2 from EA sports. Shows lots of promise. Pastor is in it.

excitebike 64? ha. i havent played it yet...but i remember growing up playing the old one. way back in 87 er so. good times.

Only MX games ive ever liked are mcm 1 & 2, and motocross mania.

most ppl hated moto mania, but once u got used to the handling, it was extremely fun racing MX :)


Maybe game developers should try getting on a bike b4 they make the game? :D motocross madness 2 had great tracks, because Roncada made most of them

Oh yeah i can't belive i forgot MCM 2, that is the best one but excite bike 64 is good too,, you can even unlock the old excitebike and play it on there, the old excitebike is fun too! even though it is one dimensional and you only go in a straight line and the jumps are pyramids, haha LOL its still damn fun,

ya, my bro showed me a preview for freakstyle in one of his gaming mags, and that looks sweet!!! i think they said that it took the place of supercross 2002? somethin like that, cuz it was way behind schedule on development....either way, that game sooks soo awesome!

motocross mania...i think that was it. i agree...i think it got better with time. didnt that one have a lame attempt at a freestyle mode? it had an arena with a truck er a bus in the middle of it?

yeah, there was an FMX arena with a truck jump in it. The tricks were sooo abd in that game, its like the developers just made up the stupidest looking things they could think of :D


I made 1 track for that game (Collision Course FMX) and it got a prize in a contest (which i never received :()

i jus got MXRider for PS2, and its definatelly the best game for that console. Gameplay is a lot better then all the rest, and graphics are good too. Only downfall is that the only pro's in the game are all from Europe. I dunno, i used to be hooked on excitebike 64, but this game is way, way better.

its been dropped to around half price in AUS

used to be around $750, then about 3 months later (i think) it went to $400

it came out here for $299 and its still $299. lame. i think the price of some of the accesories has dropped though. whatever. im still buying it. playstations stay fun longer than any other system ive had..so i if i play it for like 2 years, im happy.

the game looks BAD. graphics are nice, and the trick motions are perfect, BUT the track look like wipeout (no joke)

and they called a 1 hand ssg a Wingman :rolleyes: lol
