leybas new tricks

ryan leybas been known to invent some sick tricks, ex. kiss of death and tweek air, but he invented two more this past weekend. the nac in the box and a cliff hanger in the air box. leyba , lurch(the announcer), and i were sitting around trying to figure out what to name leybas new tricks, and i came up with nac in the bow, leyba liked it, now hes namin that it, we still havent named the cliffhanger in the box, but im sure hes thought of somethign. by the way, the both look sick!

whips the bike out to the right, left foot in the airbox, nac nac with the right foot (i thikn thats how its done :))

what about whip to the left, left foot in the right grab hole, and can can with your right foot? Dayum, like a barhop sideways with your foot in the grab hole, and maybe your left hand on the back guard, sounds gnarly to me.

It's good to see guys using other parts of the bike to do trix with.

I think we are gonna see more guys starting to weld things on their scoots.

Pastrana has that goofy lookin rack on his but i think we might start to see more guys with things like aditional foot pegs in other spots on the bike. Similar to BMX

AusFMX: From riding?

RL: Yeah, I was in michigan at a IFMA event.

AusFMX: How did you place?

RL: Eighth, my friend crashed before me and so I was kinda trippin'

AusFMX: Who was your friend?

RL: Jeff Doetzer

AusFMX: Is he alright?

RL: He bruised his spleen and lungs.

AusFMX: Bummer, what was the course like?

RL: Basic, with three ramps at about 80ft.

AUsFMX: And the judges?

RL: Their good

AusFMX: For once. Who won it?

RL: Dustin Miller and Drake Mcelroy won the second night

AusFMX: Did you do the nac in the box at the event?

RL: No, i threw a box hanger though and everyone was pumped. I'm getting them pretty big now, I also did a double
grab super can

AusFMX: sick, Your box hanger is awesome. Can you stand up straight now?

RL: Thanks, yeah pretty much.

AusFMX: Is it a hard trick to pull? It looks like you'd be dog food if you missed the grab holes.

RL: Yeah, it's easy, but risky

AusFMX: Have you seen anyone else pull the trick in an event?

RL: No not yet

AusFMX: Any new tricks you got planned?

RL: Double Grab Super Cans, I want to learn the rock solid.

AusFMX: How about a backflip 360 double grab super can, with and indian air?

RL: did it

AusFMX: Yeah same here, pretty tame.

AusFMX: Hahaha.

I talked to Leyba like, a year ago at a local event thing (used to live up here..). He seems like a real cool guy... and he has improved a LOT since then!
