So, Im going to see Stone Sour tonight in Denver. Well actually, Im going to see the opener which is Chevelle. I cant wait. Ill let you all know how Stone Sour is live.
I saw another video the other day. Not the song "Bother" I cant remember what it was called, but it wasnt to bad. So, they might actually be a decent band.

I just got back from the concert. I had a blast....
Sinch was the opener who I have never heard of. They were alright I guess. Then Chevelle came out, they were AWESOME! Ive been wanting to see them live for awhile. They were going to cancel the show because the lead singer has a cold and larengites I think, but he wanted to do the show anyways and he was glad he did. They were so good....!
Then Stone Sour came out. (Yes, I knew that was slipknots singer) They were actually really good live. I was quite impressed. I think I might go check out the CD sometime. Corey Taylor used to live in Denver and he was so pumped to be playing here with his band. He kept saying how he loves Denver...and that song "Bother" he wrote while living here. He seems like a cool guy, and the band seems decent! But anyways, just thought Id tell you all..well those that want to know. Hahaaa!
Its now snowing here..whoohoo!!!:)

ya bother has been a favorite song of mine for a while now (its on the spiderman soundtrack) but when it was put on there it was just listed as Corey...guess it wasnt an 'official' stone sour song...i've downloaded a few songs but havent listened to them enough to have an opinion about them....what i remember was alright tho

I actually bought the album after I went to the concert and I really like it. Corey's voice is great....something about his voice that just makes the songs so much better!!!!
He was really awesome at the concert. The entire band was. The drummer was injured so he wasnt drumming with the band so they had the drummer from Megadeath (well, when they were Megadeath) drumming with them.
I really like "Get Inside" and "Cold Reader" oh and I agree..."Orchids" is great too....:)

Its pretty cool, I have to listen to it again though...he seems like a really talented guy. I think I like him in this band more then Slipknot.

it is unfair to compare slipknot and stone sour...2 completely different bands...yes, same singer....but totally different band, style, etc....i think corey just wanted to show his range in talent with stone sour....i still think slipknot kicks all kinds of azz...but my point being is you cannot compare the 2 bands at all

I had no idea that Bother was the song it was. I've heard that a bunch of times on the radio while driving at work. I didn't even know it was Stone Sour. Anyway... I don't like it all that much. It's not bad... definitely better than most other things on the radio.. but just not my style really. I dunno.
I like The Red by Chevelle though.

By the way. I just heard Papa Roach - She Loves Me Not like 5 minutes ago on TV. That guy is the biggest wiener in the music industry right now. "Lifes not fair!" What a whiny guy. Every song is the same way. What a horrible lyricist.

corey from slipknot/stone sour is really not that talented at all. his lyrics in slipknot are basic and generic....stone sour seems to have some better writing...but even so...his singing is nothing out of the ordinary...his voice is nothing new. it matters not to me if people like them....i dont mind some of it...but come on....neither of those bands will go down in history as anything better than mediocre. ok...just my opinion.
i also forgot to mention that the screaming he does for slipknot is very very produced....he does not sound that good live..and that sucks. the guitar players and the drummer for slipknot are really talented...they just arent playing anything really noteworthy.

Well shoot, I am just not going to give my opinions anymore. Damn....you all come back at it like I said something terrible. I didnt mean to compare the 2 bands, I didnt mean to say his voice was so out of the ordinary...just giveing my opinion that his band is really good. Yikes......

Nobody is jumping down your throat. You gave your opinion and others gave theirs. Thats what a message board is for..

Its ok, I was just getting annoyed cuz it seemd like Jade was dissing me for comparing the 2 bands, when I wasnt really. I just said I seem to like Stone Sour better. And I was complimenting Corey. Whats wrong with compliments? Then you came back with what you said and it threw me off, sorry for taking it the wrong way. But its cool you clearified with me, Thanks!!!!
I just thought this was all about opinions and when I gave mine I got smacked...so to speak! But alls good......!
Ive moved on from it..hahaaa!!!
