Dirtjumping on bikes?

Im always practicing FMX by dirtjumping on regular bicycles, does anyone else ever do this? Let me know what kind of tricks you can do on a bike, and how big of gaps do you hit and stuff like that. thanx. peace.

i used to ride trails (bmx trails that is) and we had a whole lot of jumps back in the woods. they went downhill and were anywhere from 10' to i think 33' gaps. the biggest gap i've done is the 33 footer and i couldn't do any tricks over it. over normal jumps i could do 360's, x-ups, tabletops, really crappy turndowns and unturndowns. i landed a tailwhip once with only one foot but that doesn't count. i quit riding cause all our spots got destroyed or are swarming with cops and i think dirtbiking is easier.

BMX dirt jumping is what a lot of pro FMXers do in their spare time! i know tommy clowers said he rides bmx and it helps him think up and try out new tricks! dirtjumping bmx is awesome! but if oyu are gonna build a jump, the lip has to be much more steeper than a fmx jump! your not going for distance, you want height!


a 33' gap thats pretty massive for bmx! sounds pretty cool CR kid!

yeah it was a pretty decent sized hill that the rythm section went down then you went around a 90 degree berm and dropped down even more to the 33 footer, also the lip wasn't as steep as the others so clearing it wasn't all that difficult.

i heard cary hart learned his backflip on a bmx like the day b4 he did it at the comp.but i dont know if that true, i dirt jump bmx on my spare time i think its good you learn how to muve around on the bike alot more wich helps me alot and you learn how to study terrain and if ya can do it5 on bmx you can more than likly do it on the moto osco lol well sept a few tricks

i prefer dirt jumping over street bmx because i would rather catch some air that grind a pole! although all of it is super cool!
