Alright, I know p00g will reply to this one.... Anybody else out there a Rivethead? These guys have been around forever and are some of the true kings of metal, absolutely amazing musicians. They were huge in the late '80s, but have been playing since 1970 - they have undergone quite a few lineup changes but have settled back to the one that worked for them best - Bruce Dickinson - vocals, Steve Harris - bass, Adrian Smith - guitars, Dave Murray - guitars, Janick Gers - guitars, and Nicko McBrain - drums. Yes folks that's right they have 3 guitarists - makes for some incredible solo swapping. Some of the best music I've ever heard...

The CDs to get are:

Number of the Beast
Piece of Mind
Powerslave
Live after Death
Somewhere in Time(their best in my opinion)
Seventh son of a seventh son
No Prayer for the Dieing
Fear of the Dark(only ok in my)opinion
A real Live Dead One
Live at Donnington
Brave New World
And finally Rock in Rio

They had a slight line up change after Live at Donnington - Bruce left the band and was replaced by what I consider a third rate singer - but Bruce returned on Brave New World...

Alright I have ranted enough, now it's your turn...

I wouldn't exactly class Iron Maiden with Guns and Roses and Kiss - admitedly they are excellent bands, and I do listen to them from time to time. But, the genres differ quite a bit - but again as p00gs says that's what makes this forum great, everybody gets to express there opinions, likes/dislikes of music...

Iron Maiden are great!

go find the Athreal cover of Fear Of The Dark...THE BEST COVER ON EARTH...female vocals as well as Athreal trademark grim screams and deep growls, as well as classical stuff mixed

songs to start with would be anything on "Best Of The Beast". its a great collection of their good stuff. Aces High and Wasted Years rank high on my favorites chart.

i dont know if i can say enough about maiden. fact is...ive got two maiden tattoos on my leg. so i think that says enough right there. :)

snippet from my last conversation with my best friend:

p00 g0blin: free association. say the first thing you think of. ready?
josh's screen name: yes
p00 g0blin: iron maiden

right next to that one is the Eddie from "The Trooper". they both have to be colored in still. that picture is horrible...the tattoo is actually really awesome...Jay Kelly from www.greenmantattoo.com did a great job so far. Jeff Lambert from that same shop is lined up to do "Aces High"...i think ill stop after that....like one maiden tattoo wasnt enough....oh man..im so lame.
