Alright folks any Trance/House fans out there??? I just hit this new club over the weekend - a friend of mine is one of the house DJs. Sweeeeeeet place, awesome time - they spun some serious mixes, definitely going back again....

It's a big scene (or it used to be) around here!

I would still rank Binary finary as one of my all time favorite tracks!

You guys in the UK are quite ahead of us as far as the genre goes, we have like a 6 month to 1 year delay before your popular stuff comes over here - it's weird... But I'm lucky enough to have family in Cardiff and I was over there back in august picked up some pretty cool discs - My next trip out I'll be heading to Gods Kitchen in Liverpool :D

what club slammer? maybe ive heard of it...maybe not. maybe ill hit it up if yer gonna be there....if they serve alcohol..i can deal with most any music. i used to like some of the trance tish...never the house stuff. i dont really remember the djs i liked...Keoki always rings a bell...but he's like the britney spears of techno...so thats nothing special.

p00 - it's called Club Blu, it's in the old Russian Lady/System around the corner from the Standing Stone. I'll probably get uptheir between 9:00 and 9:30 on Saturday to get a buzz on before they start spinning at 10. Pretty sweet place man, the DJs are local - Evolution and Demo, good team, they know how to get people moving. Some pretty sweet sights in the place too....;)

My plans are constantly changing - might hit the Wolf Pack game first and get to Blu somewhere between 10-11pm. The DJs start spinning at 10 and I think the cover is $7.00... Need anymore info???

One thing that's cool about the Pigs Eye is the music they play - stuff that ain't quite "normal" for bars - last time I was there they were playing the Butthole Surfers - hadn't heard that stuff in a while...

yeah...thats why i used to like Steve & Sullys....it was like the tattoo punk/metal bar...didnt always play stuff like that...but the atmosphere was perfect...no stuck up jocks and hoes. but then Steve left and darrel turned into another Roo Bar. tons of hoes and jocks...BORRRRIIIINNNNGGGG!!!

and the second floor was a converted attic...slanted ceilings and all....one pool table...one big tv...and leather couches lining the whole thing...it was rad to just sit there talking in a group of like 20 people....gettin yer beers served to you so the conversation never stopped...awesome times.

I still have my favorites, most of them local to me - Troutbrook Bissell Tavern, right down the road from my house, pretty much a high school reunion everytime I go there(that can be good or bad) they get some decent(entertaining at least) bands there too... New place just opened up about a month or so ago over in East Windsor - TD Shennanigans, cool sports bar, good cover bands and such on the weekends. Both places have great food and pretty decent service... Another place I hit up when I can is the Hippodrome in Springfield - all walks of life there, some incredibly hot women too:D Pretty much a top 40/techno mix... Cheese at times, but off the hook most Saturdays...

I pretty much agree with you - as long as they serve booze, I can deal with it...
