Nowhere!! Which is so cool!! Its also cool that you all aren't like "ohmigod, some of you don't listen to hardcore?!" But I feel so stupid when you guys are all like ohmigod "In Flames new CD!!" I'd love to jump in and be like "oh yea it kicks ###!!":p But not gonna happen b/c I'd never heard of them until you talked bout them Jeff!! haha..hardcore....again..im not a big hardcore fan. more metal for me. :) In Flames grows on you..trust me...just give it a try. Dying Fetus might be a bit extreme though...and Killswitch..enough can't be said! give them a try. check out Coheed & Cambria too....awesome stuff...awesome live show too...saw them again tonight...so good. and while im at it...check Hot Water Music...f'n GREAT band. headlined tonights show....brought the place down!

not into dying fetus.. dled some of it but its just not my cup of tea.. 1st time i listend to inflames i was like aiight its ok.. but it stayed on my playlist and the more i heard it the more i enjoyed it.. Clayman is probably my fav song tho, gets me pumped up..

when i was little i really didnt listen to any music.. about 5th grade i started listening to white zombie and became a huge fan.. ive seen WZ in concert 3 times, and Rob Zombie 4 times so 7 times altogether.. 1st time i saw them i was in 6th grade and they played the centrum in worcester touring for La Sexorcisto: Devil music vol. 1 (i went to private catholic school too.. go figure)
i cant wait till house of 1000 corpses comes out!!!!


I do however listen to alot of Rap.... eminem and Nas hold the biggest places on my playlist for rap artists.. DMX prolly after them..

as for rap.. the only rap i can really stand are a few eminem songs.. just cuz they make me laugh, hes a pretty funny bastard who has a suprising amount of talent... if you actually sit down and listen to his lyrics

funny thing is...for most people (not saying you, neccessarily) Dying Fetus grows on you more than In Flames. cuz at first you hear it and its so damn heavy...and then people get into all the breakdowns and chug parts. my very catholic ex girlfriend (who hates metal) actually requested i put in Dying Fetus when i picked her up from Logan a month er so ago. funny as hell....she just loves that band now. so im not saying you have to...but if you have any interest in the death metal thing...give them another shot...you may enjoy it more. ya never know. people also like the fact that it (DF) isnt gore metal. the lyrics are very politically focused...not satanic or religious based. not that it really matters..ive been listening to them for years..and without reading the lyrics...there were probably 5 lines on a whole album that i could understand. "now get up off your knees", "now you're f***ed", "ask them one question and they tell you 50 lies". those are the only 3 i can think of right now without listening to it. :) and thats out of 8 songs i know by heart.

yea i never listened to metal before i came on here and always heard cody and jeff talking about metal bands mostly KsE and In Flames so i asked where i could d/l some stuff . and when i did i was instantly hooked KsE and In Flames are my fav. bands of all time;) and before them i listened to frankenbok a #### load and i still do ocassionly. there a pretty cool band !! :D

I get MTV2, but Ive never seen their videos. There is a channel I get, its from Canada called Much Music. They have a show on around 5 or so my time and its called Uranium. And they play the metal bands. I was watching it one time waiting to see if any of the bands you mentioned would be played. No luck...
Oh, I saw a terrible video from Danzig last night on that show. I was NOT impressed....it was a bad song too.

yeah i get that too. one of my friends loves n'sync, travis, and trevor vines. i went off of her yesterday in the lunchroom. i told her trevor rides like a wombat and half azzes his tricks. my other friend (who's a member here) was whispering in my ear "she's not coming, she's not coming" cuz she (the pro-ho) says she's coming to the espn moto-x championships in april with us. There are some kids in my school that think the only music you should listen to is metal or hardcore.. if they even hear you talking about anyother type of music they tell you that it sucks and "(insert whatever band they think is god usually slayer or hatebreed) RULES!" and the one kid that says this all the time is some puny ### wimp and if you question him he says he'll kill you and burn your house down.
I also hate it when people are huge fans of bands and then they start getting mainstream and they start to not like them because theyre popular. Does becoming mainstream somehow make music worse?:confused:

only if that band is letting their new label change their sound. i dont care about labels...if yer doing the music you wanna do...making the music the same way you always been doing it...then fine..make your money...good for you. good for green day and blink..they havent changed much at all since theyve gotten big...so let them get rich. its better than friggin britney and nsync takin all the cash. Hatebreed is from Hartford and New Haven...the fact that the aussies on this board know about them shocks me...those people grew up like right next door to me...now they are touring the world...but they sound the same...so more power to them.

i dont think blink have changed...they have gotten older...and i think the music is "maturing" with them.

the offspring? oh man...studio band...that guy has the worst voice...he sounds pretty good on the record thanks to whatever effects they are using on him...then they play live and it all goes south. its horrible.

u guys should check out Strung Out...wicked punk band. i know this thread started as a maintstream topic, but what the hay. check them out. their drummer, Jordan Burns, is the co-owner of the Moto-XXX team. but yeah, i just gotta add, everyone likes their own music, if absolutely everyone liked the same thing, then everything would be mainstream. nothing would be different. but dont force #### on others, u can get them to try it but dont rag on them if they dont like it. and dont rag on someone if they like bands that went mainstream. so what if their popular and make good money? as long as they dont sell out and become totally pop, there doing a good job. but, go punk!
