New England Shows

im gonna try and do this for the new england people on here. i keep saying that we have the best music scene and the best shows here...so ill try and back up my words. like ive said before...i dont always check for shows...a lot of the time its my friends telling me when stuff is coming up...so if you know of any good shows....do me a favor and post them here.

anyways. tomorrow night at the Palladium in Worcester, MA is:
Hot Water Music, Thrice and Coheed & Cambria. HWM is headlining. we paid $17 per ticket through evil ticketmaster...so the door price should be cheaper. $13 maybe. sell out probability is high. show prediction....AWESOME!

this will be the 11th time ive seen HWM...they get better every time. im not a Thrice fan...so i wont know how they are live till i see them. Coheed & Cambria..um..third time ive seen them..they rule. saying they rule doesnt do them justice...but i dont wanna babble forever.

no problem. yeah...you should definetly down some beer...and then rock the hell out in that pit. its an awesome experience. the band is so energetic and will feed a TON of energy down to you guys in the crowd. especially the people up front...expect tons of mic-pile oppurtunities and most likely having to catch the singer when he goes flying off the stage. :) but you probably will wanna take the next day off..to recover. :)

aight..the one hour countdown has begun. 1 hour till we start the drive to see Hot Water Music/Coheed & Cambria!!! the reason for this post....if i was to get the chance to interview one of those two bands....probably Coheed...what questions should i ask? you guys got any ideas? if i can get like 10 good questions...ill try to hunt down Claudio (singer of Coheed) and get his input for you guys. then if it turns out well...ill ask alex to shove it up on the p00g's music review page. :)

well no interview questions arose...which is fine..cuz i never saw any of the band members after they played. usually you do....hanging out at the bar...but Coheed doesnt seem like a drinking band.

either way...the show was awesome. we thought that Coheed & Cambria was playing first...so we drove like mad to not be late. now The Palladium is a pretty big place...so we were not expecting Hot Water Music to really fill the place to capacity...wrong again. arriving at the club...we see the line like 3 blocks long...and then the same around the other side. the fact that it was raining just made it better. 20 minutes in the rain until the "will call" people got called to the front...good deal. get inside to find out that some band called "the start" is playing first. ignored them and went to look for the people we were supposed to meet up with. Coheed & Cambria comes on about an hour later....so we run down front. get good spots in the middle and rock out for the duration of their set. back up top to ignore "Thrice" who sucked as usual. the suck that is Thrice bored us so much that i decided to call Jade (fullthrottleSMP) and bug him. we talked for 20 minutes or so....amusing him with our stupid drunken antics. jade is the bestest texan ever. :) after Thrice was Hot Water Music...one hour and ten minutes of non stop rock. so damn good...the crowd was pretty good. MA crowds are usually pretty annoying...rowdier than CT...but this one was ok. the sound quality was typical of the palladium..bass heavy. but you could understand it...and enjoy every second of the sold out show. i think sold out equals 2000 kids or so...i might be wrong. anyways....hot water is one of the best bands ever...everyone should listen to them. everyone. rating this show on our scale of "1-5 how bad do we all smell? 5 being the stinkiest) we were all a full 5! 5 stinky sweaty kids packed into a GTI is no fun.....windows and sunroof open the whole way home....heater blasting...typical New England show. a damn good time had by all.

and keeping with my random acts of appreciation for the people i call my "friends"...Jade will soon be the new owner of a Coheed & Cambria shirt. it's a nice shirt too...i would keep it for myself...but i bought a better one. :) so dork..thanks for talking to us while we sat through Thrice. you rule.

Hey p00 there's some stuff coming up at the Webster - Sevendust is the one that caught my eye - first week in November I think... Will update this when I find a more firm date - Kittie is playing there next Weds. Don't know if you like 'em but they put on quite a good show, and they're pretty easy on the eyes too:D

kittie played with KsE a while back...and all the reviews said that the opening band (KsE) stole the headliners (kittie) "thunder" like they had never seen before. go KsE!! heh...i would actually go see kittie..although not a fan of their music. Sevendust i dont know...maybe. but thanks for the update. keep em coming. :)

i saw kittie at the WAAF Indoor beach party a few years back.. taht was the year Static X co-headlined w/incubus and incubus cancelled due to the singer having laryngitis er some#####.. they put on a decent show... left pretty beaten and bruised thanks to staticX tho ;)

I'd love to checkout sevendust in concert.. havent had the opportunity to yet.. i havent been to a concert in like ages now.. last one i saw was incubus and before that i think it was the summer sanitarium show.. im way out of the loop ;)

usually theres no charge for non-riders.. but this would be the 1st race there so i dunno what they're gonna do..

From the north.. Exit 24, end of ramp take a right.. Marshall street on your left next to Zoots cleaners.. head down there.. at the end (3 way stopsign) bang a left... about a 1/4 mile down there you'll see Goff Brook Rd on your right, take that road.. follow till the end and take the dirt road on the right.. cant miss it .. just follow that to the track.. really easy to find.. hopefully the rain will let up from now till then because that is a flood plane and is underwater with intense rain..

alrighty people...its almost time for the Stillborn Fest to hit Hartford, CT. thank god...ive been waiting long enough...

there's tons of bands...dont know them all..the only one i care about is Killswitch Engage who will be playing right before the headlining Hatebreed. tickets are $15.50 plus about $5 in advance tix service fees. i think Slammer_74 paid $20.50/ea for our tickets. so yeah..if yer in the area...or have a car and dont mind doing a bit of driving...come to the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT for the show...its gonna be sick..i promise. you might also get to meet Slammer and me...and some of our stupid friends. ok...i dont have that many details..maybe Slammer can help me out....
