Take off and landings.

Does any one have pictures of a landing ramp and the take off. Im thinking about making one but i dont know what it should look like. im just going to make one with mearsermants just come up with my own steel ramp and dirt landing. im just trying to see what it will end up looking like.

theres no way u should even think of touching a ramp while your on that bike...

and you should at least get some experience at doing dirt doubles before thinking of a ramp.

Ive started going to the mx track they have step up doulbls all that stuff im getting good and if i land right on that bike it dont hurt.:D

if you land right?? how high are you jumping? if you jump i'd say anywhere past 6 feet it doesn't matter how you land its gonna be ruff!! mikey Blew his for seals on his xr200 after 1 month of jumping a 30ft tabletop!

i think your thinking of like a 3 ft high ramp! just build it with dirt!

ya definately stay away from a ramp...anyone on this board will tell you the same thing....first off definately NOT on that bike...and you need to have all kinds of experience on dirt hits before you get to a ramp....
so for your sake dont get a ramp just yet :)

my jump is 7 and a half feet tall. so i cant get enogh kick out of it plus i can use the jump i have now to make the landing.

that's the same jump right? if so ya...you're gonna have to wait a while before you start hittin a ramp...you need to beable to go big on dirt off of all kinda of hits and situations....the biggest i've gone so far is about 45ft dirt double and im no where near ready for a ramp....so all i'd say to you is dont worry about the ramp....get really good at riding and get expierenced in all types of situations...

About the CR he wants to get me one and he wanted to get me one for my first bike and he still wants to get me one but my mom you know how moms are. se dont want a 2 stoke plus she wants a horse so does my sister.

me and ONT freerider have a few rules when we ride at my fmx park!!!
1. no matter how bad it looks....you always fell in the turn
2. when your buddy goes down....walk casually to him DONT RUN until your out of site from my house!

my dad encurages me to go bigger! one day his buddy called and sayd they built a ramp at a track 2 hours away....dad rushed up to me and told me we were going there the next day lol...he dosent even ride..but he likes that i always go bigger then anybody else :)

I mesared it today when i put the lip on.
After i put the lip on it was bout 1 foot taller then me and im 4"9" i think. And it used to be taller then my dad when he took a bob cat to it.

u need to measure it straight up (if u didnt...) , if u put the tape measure on the face of the upramp, it will be longer..

i made plans for a wood version of sliders rev. 1, 2, and 3....im building it next week to see if its satisfactory to use. if its sturdy enough im going to be using that!
but i think 8 ft is a little to big for you...im not sure if you could make it all the way up!

Wood ramps work if they are small i have one outside in my pasture, it kicks me prolly 8 ft high and 30 feet long, good for little tricks though i dont have a landing for it.
