Now I know that there are a few of us on here from the New england area - I want to know who you go see locally. One of the locals in my area is called Pile - they started as a cover band but thier originals are pretty cool, kind of a bastard child of Soil, Mudvayne, and Godsmack... Who do you go see?

Umm.. since most of the bands around here are no longer playing (big guitar shop scandal type deal.. i wont go into details), pretty much just Freak Hayride, Everyone Dies, Clearing Autumn Skies, and Bakers Dozen Letdown.

The scene used to be pretty cool. Used to go to a bunch of shows with:

Existence, xUnconqueredx, Unending, Fall Silent, Freak Hayride, December, Twice, Nemesis, A Moments Loss, Iron Lung, and probably a couple others I can't think of. There are tons of punk bands and stuff but I never go to those shows cause none of them are all that great in my opinion.

p00 - Johnny Too Bad and the Strikeouts???? One of my old high school frinds was the bass player for them... I used to film their shows! Whatever happened to Spicey griblets? I remember catchin' them a few times, Stepkid too...

johnny too bad..haha..roger the mod...i love that guy. a couple of them were from my town. spicy griblets were all from here i think...west hartford had so many bands at one point. some of the griblets guys went to johnny too bad. steve burke went to 2 skinny j's..and i dont know what happened to the rest of them. i used to work at baskin robbins in west hartford center with steve burke..that kid is the funniest/nicest person ever. we worked together for a year..became really good friends..and then he took off with 2 Skinny J's...havent seen him since. i think he lives in new york now. Stepkid was amazing. then they became Small Town Hero..also amazing...and then they kept breaking up. i think they played a show at the El-N-Gee a few months back..i missed it though.

some bands i forgot were DeadEyesUnder and Ground Zero. went to school with the drummer for Ground Zero and the old drummer for DeadEyesUnder, tattoo rob, used to hang out with us all the time. crazy little guy...but cool as hell. Spring Heeled Jack was an old favorite of mine....dont like that kind of music anymore though.
