u can record off a normal cam, but the quality is not as good as digital (because it has to go through low quality tapes.)
U should just go to an electrical store and ask the salesguy about em, he could give u more info.
But anyways, all u need for a digi cam, is a firewire card ($99) and then u hook the cam straight to your comp :)
Ill see if i can find a good one...

ya i just ordered my new comp *about 30mins ago* and i got a capture card w/ it...so that means that i can just plug my vid camera right into the comp, put the vids on the comp, edit them, and put them back on tape...atleast that's what i came to understand??

yeah fullthrottle, thats about right :)
and shaolin, if u get a digital camera, it will have a place for the firewire cable, so u just hook it from the cam to your comp, and record the video :)
(u might wanna buy a video editing program, it will make it a lot easier than my way of doing it..)

YOU NEED TO HAVE A DIGITAL CAMERA(OBVIOUS) AND YOU NEED TO HAVE A COMPUTER THAT CAN DOWNLOAD IT. MY FRIEND MAKES SICK FMX, SNOWBOARD, AND WAKEBOARD MOVIES. TITLAES, MUSIC, TRNASITIONS, AND ALL. HE IS GOING TO BUY JAY'S CAMERA FROM MOTO XXX SO HE CAN HAVE A PRO 16 MM TO FILM.
