This is CR8_0's cousin. Im about 5'9'' 130lbs and im 15 years old. I ride cr8_0's bike all the time and i was thinking of buying a cr125. I am fairly skilled and really want to get into racing. I have a 4 wheeler which will sell for about 2500+500 that i already have. My dad does not think that i will ever really get into serious competition and i cant seem to convince him to help me pay for it. I will be getting a job which will help but not soon enough. So how can i convince him to help pay for it? The bike will be a brand new one too. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just keep asking him. He'll cave in eventually :D

Why does it have to be a new bike though? If being short of $$ is the problem, just get something a few years old, you dont need a brand new ride if your just starting to race.

nod nod...if you can sell it for what you said plus the $500 you have, you're set....i bought my 98 CR125 for 3grand and it came w/ a crapload of extras.....you can find some really nice bikes for $2500-$3000 no problem....and if its your first bike or if you're just starting to race its not gonna hurt you at all to get a used one

thye sure do look nice don't they???? but if your only fifteen and its your first bike! not only is it your first bike but its also a 2 stroke motocrosser! buying used is risky there could be a cracked cylinder and you wouldn't know it! the rings could need changing but the guy you bought from said they were knew! the fact is two stroks are expensive to keep and maintain! used ones cost less but you could easily make up for that in repairs over a year or two! its one big tradeoff after another! all i'm saying is its risky and you might buy it and then have no money left to fix it!!
ya hear what i'm saying bro??
