ok most (pretty much all) of the non aussies on here dont know what the hell we are talking about when we use aussie slang so this is for you

barbie= BBQ (not the doll)
snags= sauceages
piss up= thats a pretty easy one
perv= what every guy does, chek out chicks
root= how mummy and daddy made you
take the piss= to insult someone
bugger= "damn"
AFL= wuss football
NRL= a bit better version of AFL
footy= football, or a football
john howard= australia's biggest joke
shela= aussie women
wogs= ethnics who think they are gods gift to the world (dress like ali G)
chips= another word for fries
lounge= our version of a couch

there is more but it would take to long, hope this clears some of it up for ya
