no there is no problem with cops.you can either camp, stay at caineville cove inn(if still in business), or in hankseville which is 15 miles south of caineville. i believe the main riding spot is mile marker 105. there will be a brown blm sign. coming from the north, it is on the left side of the road. look at the pictures..if you are near that big flood plane than you are in the right spot.
sorry these pics are boring... but yeah the riding spot is just like a mile or two south of caineville. if you blink, you will miss the town.

i believe this is the jump that mason catches huge air on in riot 2 trailer. its in that flood plane. the first picture was taken from on top of this hill. not so huge air.... also if you search caineville on this site, there are some really sick shots from tedesco, gudac, aust, miles...

they get rutted pretty quick.. but there are so many jumps, you don't need to stay in one place.
But if you're like me- boring and not an amazing jumper, then it wouldn't hurt to bring a shovel just in case you find a jump that you really like. I wish I did.

4stroke power: It's easy to miss the spot. Take a few minutes and study Tedesco's picture section from Caineville and you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. Just keep looking to the left when you're travelling south just a couple minutes south of the Caineville Cove Inn (that's about the only building in Caineville, seriously)

Look for the big cliff thing from this pic. Most of the neato jumps are in between that cliff and the highway, a little to the north direction. Also look for flying Masons. They're rare, but if you're lucky enough to spot one in flight you'll get to witness perhaps the most amazing sight known to moto-man.

You won't regret the trip.. 13 hours is well worth it. (I drove 40+).
Check the weather forecast. The nights can get cold there (around freezing when we were there at the end of March), so bring a warm sleeping bag.

you seriously would pass out from seeing what some of these guys do there. You will look at something crazy and not possible. But then you will notice a rut going up it.. It's seriously amazing to see what some people do.

That jump mason is hitting is such a fun jump, Very tech. Caineville is only about 3 and 1/2 hours from where i live (Vernal) If your planning on staying there for more then 2 days, your best bet would be just to drive to Torrey. Torrey has hotels (with swimming pool), Restaurants, and the most important thing gas.
I think me and some of my buddies are goin down there the 2nd weekend in March. Anyone that can make it, Come!

your friend should not be worried at all. im not excactly what you would call a great rider and when i went down there my first time, i was on a crf150, not exactly the greatest bike, but i loved it. they have every size jump from small to huge. they got big hills, small hills, medium hills. the place is perfect for anyone. hey aust that would be sick. im kind of doubtful if i could make it right now because my bike is in peices. im def going sometime.

Im almost positive it's not. The wall is way steeper. The pick i posted gives it no justice.

It's not the wall. You gotta go the other way from the big berm to get to the wall from where your at.

its behind the person taking the picture more. Like if he were to turn around and walk towards the road. Your on the right side though.

Me and a couple of my friends are planning on going March 31st to April 4th and I have a couple of questions. I was thinking of getting a room at the Caineville Cove Inn what do you guys think? Are there any restaurants around and gas stations? From Caineville Cove how far is the actual riding area? And finally from Montrose Colorado we're at between 5,000 and 7,000 feet do I need to re-jet my bike (YZ250F) to ride? Thanks guys and any info you have asap would be nice.

from caineville cove the riding spot is like a mile. the only place that sells food is this little shack that some guy owns. it is the same guy who is anti dirtbikes and is the one working the hardest to get that place shut down, so i wouldnt go there, but you should stock up on food in hankseville, which is like 15 miles to the east of caineville. ive never been to hanksville, but i assume they have food. i think the elevation is around 5,000. dont think there is any gas stations in caineville, but mabey. and probably in hankseville. i hear cainville cove is pretty nice, but im not sure if its still in business.

Ok.. we have had a cop once. They just check to see if your bike is registered. You can't get away from them either. They will wait at your truck till you come back.. I would also stay in hanksville. They have gas stations, resturants and some "ok" hotels. They also have a gokart track.

ive been with Quad riders and they had tons of fun. but it was the annoying retarded type of quad riders, that think doing a donut takes skill. but yeah, ive never been with an actual good quad rider. im sure you could find some good jumps. but also bring a shovel for sure. i wasnt on the lookout for good quad jumps, but i can remember a couple of jumps that would be good without any shovel work. i dont hit the huge stuff so i dont really know.
*also question. 4stroke, did you make it out? also aust, did you go/ i want to see the pics.

Hanksville has a hotel and maybe a gas station (not sure on the gas station) But your best bet is driving to Torrey, about 30 miles away. Torrey has restaurants, hotels, and a gas station. We didn't end up goin to caineville 2 weekends ago on ####ty weather. If i'm not mistakin we are goin to try and go this weekend. 24th, 25th, and 26th. Anyone that can go, be there.
