you are pretty much goin from an Z50 to a 250! lol, thats a huge step though dude, i would pay to see your first ride on a 250, you are gonna be riding so slow and puttin your leg down for every turn, lol. the power is sweet, plus youll think its a 500 comin off of that bike. good luck, bust big!

No it's pretty much goin from an xr 200 to a 250. WHich isn't very hard. And it won't feel like a 500 cause it's a 250. And there tons a fun. I'm thinkin about gettin a 250 instead of another 125. But have fun on it. I rode my friends a couple times. THere a blast.

but it seems that lately, everyone who rides a scootor up to an 80 wants to jump straight into a 250 (probably because they see most FMXers using them)
ask yourself this: could you even pick it up when you crash it? or even kick it over, let alonestart it?

yeah i could pick it up cause it weighs the almost the same as my XR 200 and it weighs 233 pounds and thats pretty heavy. and i was wanting to know about shaving the seat, not be #####ed at.

XR200s are gutless straight out. they are trail bikes for dickin around. a 250 has alot of balls. i know cause ive ridden both those bikes. and going from an XR200 to a 250 will take some gettin used to theres no doubt in my mind, so if your thinkin its not that much difference it is.
a agree crusty everyone just wants a 250, i think its hilarious myself to see these kids thinkin they are all hardcore on 250s and barely get out of 1st gear lol, and they tell me their bike has madd power! lol friggin kids, seems to be lots on this board lately. im startin to get tired of hearin these 12yr olds. maybe thats why i dont come on here anymore.

Shaving the seats great if you like the feel of a wide seat. If you don't like wide seats don't shave it. It will help you touch the ground better though. I shaved the seat on my Cr and it was great. The wide seat feels great to me. It's all your preference. And you shouldn't really need to touch the ground with both feet. How often do you just sit there with your bike. It's all about comfort while your riding your bike. And hopefully sitting there with your feet on the ground isn't something you wanna do that often. But if your gonna do freestyle It helps alot if your gonnna cut your plastics cause then when you go for the ssg's and stuff you can grab the hole easier cause the seat isn't in your way. And you can get your feat over the seat faster and easier

im not 12 im 14. ive been riding for 5 years ( not much compared to you guys but a lot compared to most of my friends that ride) I know a 250 has a lot more power than a trail bike and it would take a lot of getting used to. im not one of the little kids that think they're big cause they ride a 250. i dont want a 250 because everybody else has them, i want one because i could ride it for a long and not have to get a new bike and just fix it when it breaks. jeez. the people on this site are really starting to suck.

i went from an 80 to a 250, which is a biger jump than a XR200 to a 250, and i went fine, the power is hell smooth and all useable, its great

hahaha oh dude i think you misunderstood the meaning of kickin it over, we mean the engine, as in kicking the kickstarter and turning over the motor lol, we didnt mean physically kick the bike on to its side lol its cool dude.

get a 250 lol
turning your 200 into a freestyle bike is kinda hard and expensive. just sell that and get a cheap 250 and then work with that, but not with an XR

a 250F is a friggin 125! if a 125 is absolutely gutless like you say than that must mean that the 250 F is twice as powerful!! going from an 80 to a 250F is the same as goin from an 80 to 125......
XR susp.= not good CR susp.= good.
conclusion: get a CR! :)
