All of us experienced crashes, and probably if your a FMXer, you have plenty of unsuccessful jump/trick specially when your practicing the trick, at that very moment, tell me what happened after that jump? how many bones you have been broke? Motor parts destroyed, something like that... :D:D:D

well in order to achieve you have tyo crash sometimes right? well i've had my share of crashes, one that sticks out is one that happened around this time a year ago. my dad's good friend just finished building my big 85 footer, huge landing and big takeoff. takeoff is 8 1/2 feet tall by 12 feet wide, the landing is 24 feet wide by 15 feet tall. way smooth. well i have a 65 foot runway, so i was screaming third gear, fourth time i hit it, went for a seat grab, did it clean, but missed the handlebar coming back on. bamm! went down hard flipping atleast five times while my bike did flips of its own through thw air. it hurt, looks even worse on video! haha anyways, fmf had just send me a bunch of parts for my bike, half of which i destroyed, all new plastics left to nothing, bent subframe, broken new 909 handlebars, broken radiator, etc. i ended up with a broken wrist! got lucky i guess????

i have had some pretty bad crashes but ive never realy gotten hurt so bad i had to stay in the hospital for more than a day or so.
my worst was over shooting an 80ft step down and breaking my nose on the barpad. hurt worse than anything ive ever broken for some reason.
the guy i ride with over shot that same jump and broke both his wrists and ankles. it was horable. but he didnt shatter his ankles. it got his wrists worse.but that was probly the worse crash ive ever seen with my own eyes.

My most unsuccessful trick was trying to get my mom to buy me a puch 50cc moped when I was 12 as a reasonable means of transportation so she wouldn't have to haul me around. Didn't work. Saved money, bought a used one and the front wheel fell off while I was pinned (as pinned as a moped could get) through the suburbs. Ouch. Did I mention I didn't have a helmet on???

my most unsuccesful jump/trick was about two years ago riding in the bush. There was this big step down that none of my mates would hit so i tried it and it was a big mistake! i went over the bars and put my bloody hands out to stop me. i ended up with two broken wrists. Its been pretty good since the though must be that i got smarter? lol :D

My last two wrecks have been my worst.
The first one was when I riding in the wind. I was doing good until the wind picked up, so I didn't stop riding. I threw a heelclicker in about 35mph wind. The wheels blew sideways from underneath me, and as natural reaction (i'm a bmx rider), I put my right foot out and landed. My knee got all twisted up and snapped and popped a few times. The result was a broken Tibial Emmenance. It was ripped right off of the top of my leg (under the kneecap). I was out for a few months with that one.
When I came back and got my confidence up again, I was doing alright, and decided to hit a big double. It was the first time... and I was going just a TAD (way) too fast. I overshot it bigtime and landed flat, slamming my neck into the crossbar, flipping off the bike. The result was two broken bones in my right hand, a broken pinky on my right hand, two fractured bones in my left forearm (ulna and radius), a tweaked wrist, all the skin ripped off of my left forearm, bloodstains on my glove and new graphics, and a swollen neck that pushed into my trachea and esauphogus. That scared me. Was having a little trouble breathing, and LOTS of trouble swallowing without heaps of pain.
The doctor said if I wouldn't have hit the side of my neck, I could have shoved my Adams Apple to the back of my throat, killing me!
I'm still pretty freaked about that one...

damn thats preaty guresome!!!
man even with all the broken bones and risk of getting hurt bad, the thing that worries me the most about fmx and crashes is hitting my neck on the bars. i had it happen once and i couldnt breath for like 30seconds and i thought i was gonna die but my throught just opened back up. it scared me so much. my freind was freaking out he thought i was dead:eek: .
ive heard stories of people hitting their necks on the bars and dieing like two minutes after wards.
scary stuff man.

i've been very very luck not haven any really bad wrecks;
my 4 worst wrecks were:
1. i found a jump at the stillwater 500 track(theres some shots of travis pastrana ridden the in rev 199) and saw this 125ft double. i decided i wanted to do it, but you have to go up a 150ft hill with 6ft tall lip at the top, and the landing was 10ft tall with a almost flat back on it. i thought a 125 would have enoght power, but it didnt, the hill was to long and the 125's run out of power. i hit 4th pinned, i only went 114ft, i tryed to bail but it was to late, i landed on the bike resulted in a broken leg, tore somethings inmy knee, and a concustion(sp). after i tryed it i called kenny bartram(he rides there to) if he had ever tried it and he siad Guy Cooper is the only person to try it and he did it on a KTM 520 in 4th gear pinned. i talked to kenny about tryen it again when i get a 250, i'm not going to let the jump get the best of me.
2. i cased this 75ft double with my front tire i was thrown over the bars, as soon as i stoped rollen the bike slammed in to the back of my neck resulting in a concustion(sp) and a cracked vertabrae(sp) in my neck. my neck still gives me problems.
3. me and a friend were following each other, and i got over confedent and did a sarn wrap, i have done them for ever and was not payen attion to what i was doing and stuck my foot into my brake hose, my foot got stuck. as soon as i landed i fell to the side of the bike with my foot still stuck in the hose, my friend almost hit me. the bike slamed into a fence that was 10ft from the jump. i cracked my wrist
4. i was really wanting to do a mcmetz, i had mastered bar hops and decided to try a mcmetz, i got my legs over the bars let go of the bars with my hands and i got such a rush i blacked out, i landed on top of the bike in the sterlizer position nohanded. i got slammed to the grond really hard, but amzally i only got a concustion(sp)
ive been very lucky, i have the lord to thank for that.

hey FMXXX, where abouts was the show that you were jumping at? i heard that there was a demo at the angaston show a while back...was that it? anyway, what sort of tricks can you pull off?
my worst crash was my last one. I was riding out at port gawler on the supercross track and went to jump this double. it was pretty small, but i kinda jumped across the face of the upramp and landed front wheel first in the back of the downramp. i broke both bones in my right forearm from trying to hold on to the bars and then i got bounced straight up off the bike and it seemed like i was in the air for longer then, than when i was jumping the double normally. when i landed, i hit hard on the left side and broke my collarbone. it was pretty bloody sore and i couldn't move properly so i got my first trip in an ambulance. i've still got my arm in plaster and a sling on the other side for the collarbone. a couple more weeks and i'll be right again. one upside to it was i got a new set of fly tapers so i cant wait to try 'em

On my most unsuccessful trick, I hit the ground full force, broke my neck, back, and cracked my skull. A bunch of vultures came over and started picking away my flesh, then my dad came over and told them to stop cause it wasent nice. My funeral will be at 10:00 friday morning at North South East West First Second Christian Church in Lexington.
