ok it finally dried up here and we did some work,,,, now this isnt exactly what i wanted to show you...what i wanted to do was get pics of the track itself as a whole so you could see it....but turned out little trish was being our test pilot so i thoght it more interesting to get pics of that right now.....usually im the test pilot but that isnt so this time (sniffle) :(
ole trish is making me proud ,hes really learned alot over the years and hes getting pretty good....not doing alot of tricks though, no one around here does tricks....just me and i can only do old school stuff. biggest trick i got is a SSG ,,,,thats not a drop in the bucket compared to the guys on here
anyway we are still working on the track so i guess i will wait till its full done to get a good pic, still need to finish the finish line jump, we are gonna make it as close to a regular freestyle jump as possible,,,,,topsoil supply and the skidloader ability and room to work permitting.... they have the biggest john deere skidloader they make and i was on top of a 9ft tall take off ramp for the finish line jump and the dirt that i was driving up on wasnt even as wide as the loaders tires and i had the bucket up in the air....ok this was stupid for several reasons 1. it could of flipped bakcwards, i know what your thinking the back would stop you, but when your on an incline it doesnt matter it will still fip...the sides could break off and i would have a 9ft drop straight down in a 4 ton skid loader ...so i decided to lay off that and go work on teh table top, its lookin killer, 8ft tall take off just as steep as a freestyle ramp and its about 65ft in length, shoudl see some good air off it
anyway without further adue hers ole trish in action
someones gettin a little big for his 80

lol thanks
i want to get some good pics of the whole track so you can see the entire thing
like i said its no professiional job, just a bunch of yahoos with big tonka toys ..but for a private backyard track i think its the nicest and funnest place around to ride,,,,that first double on the track has the entire transition of the jump at one angle so it holds the bike perfect in the air, i use to do some mad whips off that thing,,,,each jump has something cool about it that its good for

Nice. That is a big jump for the little RM and also for a rider without mx boots.
How many people stop and watch from the road?

yeh i know when i got there im like hit a few trishy, he said no i gotta get my gear on, im like oh yeah good idea. so i was waiting him to get it on then next thing i know hes burning around a turn to hit the jump and he just never stopped, he was going like a fiend hitting every jump on the track.
and alot of people stop from the road to watch its insane, we always got a good show going on, the one time i went off the table top and its absolutly perfect for supermans, and i went to pull one and i felt the bike going to loop out so i was trying to get back on,,,well i got the bike straihgtened but i wasnt on the bike completely, and i slightly overjumped it,,,NOT a good combo,,,,well anyway i got ripped off the back of my bike in 3rd gear tapped ,,,i went sliding me and the bike almost went to the road, dented my pipe and ripped my elbow pad in half and banged my forearm up pretty good (one with all the titanium in it) and the people in the car just looked at me and drove off
im like WTF!?!?!
whats even funnier is i told that story today in philosphy class becuase we were talking about this woman in NY that got mugged, beat up sabbed,,,,guy left, so she screamed for help, guy came back beat her some more stabbed her some more and the guy left,,,,she continued to scream so he came back yet a thrid time and stabbed her till he killed her,,,and this happened in her apt building in NY and NO ONE came to help her she laid there and died and of course we were talking about how people wont help others and i said how thats typical of people from Northeastern US....no one gives a crap about eachother,,,no one talks to eachother and i said how im the opposite cuz im use to seeing my buddies go down and having myself go down so i help others just like i want to be helped when im down, like when i broke both of my legs if it werent for my budds i wouldnt of been going NO WHERE, plus my handlebars were snapped in two so even i would of crawled the 100ft to my bike, some how stood it up and started it i couldnt of rode it anyway

PS.
that rythm section there is where i broke both of my legs
two doubles and two triples, 3rd gear tapped to clear them all
second to last jump i came up a foot short and i didnt wreck but it TOTALLY screwd me up for the last one and i was like OOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and you have to think in a microsecond whats best,
1. try to stop
2.try to ride it out
3. jump off NOW
4.jump off in the air
5. try to double it
6. OTHER
so im like ok lets take other,, when i did regain the bike i just gave it all it had in 3rd gear and i preloaded as hard as i could into the face andwhen i took off i ripped up on the bars as hard as i could and i did the biggst air wheelie of my life trying to gain every inch so that it might be salvagable that i would still come up short but i could stay on and let the suspension take it...well i came up SOOO short my front tire would of went into the very bottom of the back of the landing......could you imagine that? and my neck was right in front of the bars and im like WHAT DO IT DO WhAT DO I DO and i bailed off and it was like slow motion i went into the back of the landing feet first SNAP SNAP rolled up over and down the other side and right where my neck was my bars hit SNAP right in two like a tooth pick , im like dear lord that was almost my neck then the bike skided 100ft and i had the worst pain in my ankles i could ever describe....not as bad as when i broke my hip but pretty bad non the less , and i took my left boot off and checked my ankle, hurt like a mother but it was alright im like COOL, checked my right one ,,,,i was like OOOH NOO so i pulled myslef up on the rack of the old bearcat 454 and i put my foot on the ground and i dindt even put weight on it and i watched my ankle crunch like an accordian i was like OOK enough its shatterd then i went to move my left knee and it didnt hurt but it felt extrmely weird like it was bound up,,,,im like what in teh world and i tried to move it and i got stabbing pain im like AHHH ok, busted knee, busted ankle......i could go on with this story but its long enough so ill end it there....you get the idea

Reddy.. you just reminded me of somthing I was thinking one day about your crash..
"didnt he say he cased this jump then tried to jump the tripple after it...? " ... Well if it was a tripple and you were scared if you were gonna make it.. I said to myself why on earth didnt he just slow it down and double it! I know its so easy to think of things your could of done after the crash heh, its definatly different when your in the situation.. but even then I could probably bet you on this.. I would of just doubled the next jump.
I dont think youve really got "bad luck" maybe its just the decissions you make.. cause sometimes, the obvious safe way seems to pass you by.. lol.. maybe im wrong but. anyways
so why didnt you double it?

HMMMMM....

June 19th, 2002, 12:19 AM
it didnt pass me by, i thoguht of that too, i was going way to fast to double it but not fast enough to clear the triple....get it?
your brain works pretty fast....especially when heightened awareness, at reas your brain radiats 10 alpha waves a second, when aware it radiates 20+ beta waves a second....thats pretty fast, we can think half a lifetime in a fraction of a second , i musta gone through every possible way i could of gone about that. of course i didnt type it all becuase i would of been there all day but yeah i thought of that, i even thought of running off to the side and flat landing it,,,,,the list is endless, i feel i did the best possible thing i could of done
i also forgot to mention of the twisted spine....when i came down my head was slightly turned and i smshed my jaw off my knee and twisted my cervical spine ,,,,,not just turned it i twisted it as it sets
when the doctor checked it he measured it with a laser and when i would turn my head to the left i coudlnt get anywhere near my shoulder but when i turned to the right i could take my chin past my shoulder , so i had to get that straightend, but C1 was twisted in my skull and it put pressure on the nerve, and there is a nerve in your brain that runs from the back of you head all the way thorugh to your eyeballs, so if you get a pain there your entire head feels it including your eyes, i had a severe headche for 4 weeks 24 / 7 , and you know when you get a bad headache you feel like your gonna throw up any minute? .....what an ordeal i hope i never have to go through that again
