More on J-Law at E-Town

Last Friday in Racerhead we mentioned a phone call and an e-mail we got from folks who were out at Englishtown for practice day and witnessed Jason Lawrence get into a scuffle with a flagman who had apparently been throwing rocks at him. Turns out that there may be more to the story, and that the flagman seems to have started the fracas. We received the following e-mail from another witness - and this one has a video to back it up (we'll try to get that from him later). It sounds like there's some history there between the flagger and J-Law, and the flagger may have just come unglued last Wednesday....

"After reading the piece about J-Law at Wednesday E-town practice, I would like to tell you what those two guys told you is not the story. First off, let me tell you that this flagger kid ain't wrapped too tight and has a real problem keeping his anger in check. I witnessed that same flagger punch out a coworker another time for getting a little mud on him. The part about him throwing rocks at Jay happened back in April. That incident was brought on because he said Jay was trying to hit him in the head with his back tire while doing some pretty sick whips over the staircase!

"Getting back to this past Wednesday, this nutcase was upset because, according to him, Jason was trying to roost him while blowing thru a turn. Well, the next lap Jason comes around, the kid has the hose to water that section (it's a high-pressure fire hose and nozzle) and proceeds to hose Jay and his sidekick Adam Blessing down with the dirty swamp water it comes from. Next lap he does the same and this time he gets Dave Ginolfi too. Jay turns around and roosts the kid with mud, and the kid tackles Jay off the bike, knocking him down into an oncoming bike. Another guy (an adult) helping out on the track grabbed the nut around neck and threw him down to the ground.

"The only punches that the kid thru were to the side of Jay's helmet. This whole thing only took about 30 seconds. The part that Jason and Adam were thrown out is bull####: Jason left only because he had a sore ankle from when the bike hit him. Also, I'll tell you this version is a fact because I witnessed it from 100 feet away. Also my wife just happen to catch all on video."
