Hey guys, I've posted this up on mtx already, but just saw this racing section and though I would post it in here as well. Really trying to get rid of it as I have my bikes at home here in Australia that I race already from yamaha. So check it out and let me know if anyone's interested. Thanks.
For Sale – 2005 YZ250F.
This bike was used from January – February by myself, Robbie Marshall. I race for the Serco Yamaha team in Australia and went to America to race the first 5 rounds of Supercross in 2005. I raced under the NCY/Star Racing tent along with Keith Johnson, Bryan Johnson and Erick Vallejo.
The bike was purchased at Montclair Yamaha, and many changes were immediately made to it. Although the bike has been returned to mostly stock form, there are many items on the bike that haven’t even been used yet. You can still see the AMA Pro Racing Tech Inspection sticker on the downtube on the frame.
The bike has less than 25 hours of use, and a new top end was put into the bike and valves were adjusted the week before his last race. The oil was changed meticulously after each ride, and new oil filters were put in every 2-3 rides. The tires are new from his last ride at Anaheim and are still in good shape.
The shocks and fork were removed when the bike was bought and replaced with full Enzo suspension. When he left for Australia he brought the Enzo suspension back with him and replaced the stock suspension. The forks and shock have not been used in the dirt at all yet. The same is true for the radiators and the stock exhaust. Oversized radiators and and FMF pipe/silencer were used and removed from the bike so both the stock radiators and stock pipe/silencer have never seen a track.
The stock clamps were replaced with Emig Racing clamps (both tops and bottoms) and topped off with Pro Taper bars and grips, and we threw on some Factory Effex Grip Donuts. In addition, a carbon fiber brake clamp has been added to the front number plate.
Works Connection frame guards are on the bike, as well as a Works Connection skid plate. An SPP Holeshot locking device is on the front right fork leg.
Since I rode under the NCY/Star Racing tent, new Factory Effex team graphics, and my preprinted number plate backgrounds have been put on the bike as well as a B-3 Seat Cover. The graphics are new and have not been used.
NEW! I also left behind an FMF titanium Powerbomb Header and ti-silencer. Another $800 in parts will definitely make this bike much more appealing to you! You have a chance to buy a 3 month old bike with almost $2k in extras. Take advantage of it!
The bike will be located an hour out of Brisbane in Queensland, once I get it shipped back from America. Or if anyone from America is interested please let me know ASAP before I get it sent over here to sell.
