Southwick results......

I can't wait to see the southwick national on t.v. next weekend. It sounded like an awesome race all day. 125 class- moto 1 mike alessi took first and langston came from midpack to finish 2nd. Second moto langston took first for the overall. Alessi didn't finish the race. I think ryno took second in the last moto followed by mike brown.
250 class- Rickys moto win streak is over. He crashed while in the lead in moto 1, giving the win to speedy reedy. Bubba pulled off early on. 2nd moto ricky took the win over reed by 30 seconds and won the overall. Bubba didn't race moto 2. John Dowd took 3rd overall, which is awesome as hell!

Yeah, it was a great race. I was there. My dad and I were standing right on top of the old finish-line jump, so we had a pretty good view of most of the track. We saw Ricky's get-off and Mike's pretty close. Mike was stuck under his bike for like 7 seconds before they got to him and got it off - it looked like he cooked his shoulder pretty bad.
Ricky was amazing durring both motos. Just the facty that he made it from a mid-pack start to (lead or second), then crashed back to mid again, and then made it back to second in only a couple laps shows how good a rider he really is.

It was a great race all around. I give big props to all the riders racing on sunday. It was hotter than hell sunday. About 97 and very humid. I was about ready to die just standing there with shorts and a beater on. I dont even want to know how hot it was in all that gear on. And once again the Southwick track showed that even the top riders in world have problems on this track.
