ok, i just found out something that just changed my favorite rider. My favorite rider was RC. I hated chad reed. Well this is what changed it
In las Vegas there was to little kids standing by the little fence to keep people away from the pro's bike. RC was out side just walking in that little area. These kids saw him. to them he was god. Well they had posters of him. They held him out and begged for him to sign him. He was like a foot away from the posters. He looked at them and walked away.
Chad reed was the nicest guy there was at the pits. He signed everybody's posters. Very nice guy.
Bubba was ####y and was just like RC.
That is what changed my favorite rider to Chad Reed. That is just crap of R.C. to do that.!!!!!!!
well tell me what you think of this.....

You can say CR has the best class, but look at his attitude on the podium when he loses...total whiney baby and sore loser...
Oh well... I dont waste my time caring about who signs whos posters....I need a downramp so I can get those 360 flat spins down

RC was a peice of crap to my brother at hangtown 98' he was all swearing and stuff when my brother aked him for an autograph after the race, and montana, if it werent for those little kids wanting autographs RC would be working at some dirt bike shop in florida making 10 bucks an hour. Him and Bubba need to learn to respect their fans better.

Well RC didn't prep himself too good for the race huh? (With Chad winning and all).
Ricky already had the title in the bag by then. What's going to distract him? He don't need to concentrate, he has already won.

1st, I'd like to know how you got your information.
2nd, every rider that has been mentioned in this thread plus countless other big names in the pro's have internet and "first hand" stories about how they are either the nicest/humblest/most generous person in the world or the most arogant/stuck up/mean person in the world. Depends on who you talk to and what day.
3rd, if you think of RC as anything other than one of the supreme class acts in the sport you get to park very close to things with your cool little blue mirror pass.

people just dont understand that those guys dont always have time to do all of that stuff. They have a JOB. That is to win. Most of the time they are trying to focus on wining because thats what they are paid to do. People think they are there to serve and entertain them, but all they are trying to do is work like the rest of us. And alot of the time they are nice enfough to sign things and entertain us. but they cant always do that. would you want to?

Their job, just like any other athlete (football players, baseball players, basketball players, skateboarders etc.) is to entertain people. Do you think that RC and bubba and all them would be out there racing every weekend if people didnt show up? they wouldnt, the only reason they are paid to do what they are doing is to entertain people.

thats true, but its to entertain the people while they are on the track. not in the pits.

I have met Rc in vegas and he sat and signed for everyone that showed up. So did Reed. Don't be such a little judgemental kid.

well jeremy i cant say that i would judge RC just from that little thing but yeah i understand where your coming from like he should signed the posters or atleast had said something.
but i have always perferd Reed becasue 1 im an aussy :D but also becasue i know how much of a nice guy he is and i think the RC is just a little up himself like he thinks his to good just by the way he talks sometimes like after the races and before the races like how his gonna win and then if he doesnt win like how "this and that went wrong so i kinda lost"
but yeah i like Reed so much better than RC becasue i just think his a better preson to his fans and everyone else around

I think you got the guys mixed up, RC never makes excuses, if he gets beat straight up he tells you he got beat straight up, the difference is RC corrects what was wrong and doesn't let it happen again.....

Reed first year in the us racing ...washougal he takes out local rider ryan huffman..Ryan gets up and runs over to reed and chad hits im in the face. Ryan ran over to see if reed was alright. i was standing right there when it happend at the of horse power hill and the wreck was all reeds fault...Thats why i hate him plus..im an RC fan..Im only a US rider only fan...im not a big fan of riders from other countrys but thats me.....
but reed shouldn't have done that though...for something that wasnt ryans fault

everytime i see rc talk after he loses he always says something like ohh i got tangled up with some lappers or something was wrong with my bike. However i do agree with montana, i would rather see rc win over reed because i want to see an american win over some one who isnt.

You must be watching different races then the rest of us. If RC loses he usually says "I'll take my whipping like a man." If you don't take my word for it, go to racer x and read after any race that rc has been in. Ever. All the way back to when ricky started. Find me one excuse. Reed has gotten a lot better about not making excuses for himself anymore. He used to everytime. Like Bubba. I keep waiting for him to say his bike was stuck in first gear and that his head fell off or he would have beaten ricky. He is the king of excuses. Back to topic, RC is a great guy, and has been very nice to me everytime I have met him. Very friendly, signing for people and taking pictures for everyone. So did Reed when I met him. They all have off days like everyone else, there human. Except for Travis. :D

In all fairness to the pros of MX and freestyle, there will be a story like that for everybody (except maybe Travis, but he's a freak). What other sports are the athletes so accesible to the fans? Can you imagine a NBA or NFL player hanging out in the parking lot before a game or setting up an autograph table. I've walked around with guys (and not of the RC level) and it takes forever just to get from one side of the pits to the other. Every ten feet they are stopped by another fan for an autograph, all day long. They all are good about doing it because they do appreciate their fans and that's just how it is in our sport, but who doesn't have bad days where you don't even want to talk to your best friend let alone the 1000th kid to that comes up to you wanting something. If there is a pattern to their behavior, fine say he sucks, but you really shouldn't judge someone on the one time you were at a race yelling at someone for an autograph and you didn't get it.

yeh but just think every time u go riding or even shopping u have people coming up to you asking for your autograph and when you just want to be left alone and dont sign it other people are like wat a ### well thats some pretty ###ked up #### if u can judge them bye that if u race pro for 2 years or 20 years you will get so sick of signing pieces of paper for little kids hey:m16:
