For all you non-believers (and you know who you are!) RC dominates hangtown to go 1-1 for the easy overall. Winning moto 1 by over 40 seconds and moto 2 by close to 30. Reed went 3-3 for 2nd overall. Bubba finished 12 overall. Yep.....breath that all in people. Langston takes the 125 win, followed by Brown then Hepler.

i was one of the non believers, i thought bubba was going sweep but i was wrong. I am glad to hear that mike alessi didnt get the 125 win even though he led every lap in moto 2 and in the last corner was taken out by langston.

I would be willing to put some money down with anybody who wants to take the action that RC looses less than 2 moto's all year. Any two, could be two in the same race or different races, but two or less.

Some might think it was a dumb bet what with the threat of Stewart finding his speed and doing it concistently, mechanical failure, or whatever......but I would make it. I could actualy see RC going undefeated again, but I can't bet on it.

He is the greatest of all time so far in the history of the sport and he knows this summer is going to be a challenge. He knows Bubba can go fast, that's a no brainer, but he's probally also heard a lot of what has been said on the net or in print about people putting there money on stewart, giving RC almost no shot at beating him consistently. Then there's K-dub, who could win almost any race he entered if he rode like he is capable of for the entire moto. Chad Reed is also a threat, improving every year in the outdoors and getting faster and faster. To make it worse he had to watch Reed win races in the second half of the sx year, Daytona being a big one, while he rode at a level that would give him a championship but not necasarily wins.

But I think he is using all this as his motivation for what he probaly considers his biggest (and maybe most important?) test he has faced so far in his career. Three other riders that could all conceivably beat him in any moto at any track (except Southwick, no one can touch RC there)?? He hasn't had that kind of a threat in a loooooong time. Look how bad this guy has smoked the rest of the field over the past three or so years in the outdoors. His win-loss record is amazing.

A lot of the reason for his succes is his work ethic. He will not be out trained by anyone. I would bet that the day after Las Vegas he imediatley started full time testing/training for Hangtown. No breaks, no days off.

The guy is a machine, on a level with Lance Armstrong as to how much dedication someone can have to training and mentaly preparing themselves 100% for a sport....but he also has incredible talent. Unlike Reed, who works very hard, but RC just has more talent, or K-dub and Bubba who can go so fast it's unbelievable, but can't make there speed a constant threat, RC has it all.

My oppinion anyway......

and the people went nuts. Little Alessi got what he deserved here. KARMA!!!! And he is too little to push his bike up over the small slope of the jump. Ha, ha, ha!!! Im soooo happy right now. I know it's petty, but I'll take it.

im not small but im not even sure if i could push the bike up after racing that hard for that long. he got taken out unfairly which is crap. he did good so you have to give him credit for that.

its not unfair, its racing. I raced with him a few times on 80's and he deserves what he gets. Im glad langston slammed that weeny on the ground.

well i didnt see it but i heard it was unfair. i know racing should be like that, but now people get penalized and stuff for stuff.
