That's awesome bro.. it's nice having your own practice track! Here's my playground... it's over a mile long. You can only see half of it in this pic.

i was in my backyard today thinking of a design for one. its not gonna be too great but i was thinking.....a few doubles and tables(tables for my little brother), maybe a triple, possibly a stepup thing, whoops, some berms and some other things here and there.

I'd defiently check out Ballance Motox in Bowling Green. That track has to be one of the best in the state, if not the best. Theirs a bunch of nice tracks though.. they're just scattered all over the state.
Ballance site - www.ballancemotox.com
And go to.. www.danielboonemx.com and then go to Championship series.. and it has a map of Kentucky with all the locations of the tracks, and their websites,

why, so you could look at it?
psh. those tracks are pretty ghetto dude.
not to be mean, but i mean your not gonna get that much faster by riding those. sure its good to be on a bike, but i would rather put my time and hard work at a real track.
you will only get your lines on the track, and wont be able to adapt to others etc.
but i guess if you dont race to much and just like playin around its great.
dont get me wrong i love playing around also, but if it was me i wouldnt have a track in my back yard unless i had a tractor with a great layout, or somone helping me build it, and have many other riders ride it.
but not for a pit bike track that thing would own.

at first the doc told me it was broke, then it was sprained, and now they called back and its broke.
dobe-my track doesnt look to thrilling in pictures, 1. it looks small cause the trees are so big, and 2. it is full of out of the corner jumps and many 2 line sections. everytime someone rides u improve a little you just dont know it. around here all the track our statium mx tracks and everything is so tight. sorry my track is "ghetto" because its in the woods, i figured it would be something new and a fun time. and plus the fact of me being 14 doesnt exactly allow me to go to a track whenever i want. but now the traack being(closest part) 50 ft from my house i can ride whenever, not only learning by what im riding i am learning by who i ride with (a-b class riders). i am not trying to cause a fight i just wanted to state an opinion and tell you what i had to work with.
one last regret, where you located in illinios?????

My track is ghetto, but it has made me faster. Last year I sucked wang, and now I'm a half decent rider. Since I built that track I have improved greatly. You don't have to ride the same lines, you can mix it up and ride the track however you want. I've had the track since the end of last summer and I'm still finding different ways to connect things, and I have hundreds of laps in on that thing. It may not look like much, but everytime I ride it, it's changing. It's a rough track, it's got rocks, huge bumps, hard pack, soft, and all types of different things. These are the things that will make you faster. Real tracks are groomed and perfect. Only during races do they get rough. That's why everytime I go out on my ghetto practice track, I push it. If you aren't goofing around, you learn how to push yourself to become faster, if that's what you want. It doesn't take a real track to make you fast. Lot's of fast guys came from the farm, where they just layed out little courses in fields and practiced flat turns all day until they made ruts and berms with the bike. I'm not saying your going to get to the professional level from just that, but it does help quite a bit.

who cares. how many people can say they have a track in their backyard. big deal. and the track is a lot more than it looks from just pictures. a lot can be done with it still. he just built that in ONE day. just leave the comment to yourself.
max, you know me, i'm from joliet.

hey max im sure if you showed side views of the track it would do your track more justice, in other wards the jumps would look bigger if you showed side views because you cant get a real view of anything with straight foreward shots.
Brapp
April 24th, 2005, 07:51 PM
Mine was built in one day aswell... it's a hella lot better than nothing. I don't have any huge jumps right now, but this summer the track is going to get some major improvements..

April 25th, 2005, 08:22 PM
ya, i know i just made the switch from harescrambles to mx so i know how it feels to hit a tree at a decent rat of speed. and as for the trees we are going to twine straw bales to them so it wont hurt as bad, the pics make it look worse then the tree is, its not really horibly in the way. so u guys like the whoops, there f'in huge!
