Try re-routing your throttle cable.

ya its your cable. probaly got stretched or pulled on something it shouldn't have. look for any kinks in the outter part. i would just set the throttle idle further so it doesnt die on ya.

well if it was infact his cable. his throttle would be stiff becuase it would be tighter than usual and you should be able to feel a difference if you know your bike fairly well, its hard to say over the phone, just check over the possibility;s weve said,

1( idle screw
2 stuck or kinked etc throttle cable.

good luck

mine was! lol but then again it was an Rm you never know with those bikes! hahaha.
KTMS are wicked so you never know they prolly got some special thing to stop your cable from gettin stiff those darn bikes got everything! lol
just look it over yourself its not hard to look at a cable and follow it with your fingers! ;)

We have seen this many times so I would suspect that your throttle cable outter liner is stretched. This would make your idle stay high but the pull almost normal. I would guess you have no freeplay like the specs call for?

You could adjust more length into the cable from the throttle assy and maybe also from the carb top, if it has an adjustment.
