No Power On Top

I urgently need help with my bike, its a 2000 CR80R and when I get past power pand, it sputters. I can get it power band good but if I have the throttle right pinned in cuts in and out.

ITjust cuts out while your sitting right?? Cause mine does the same thing when i'm sitting (92 cr 125) but when i'm going it doesn't cut at all.

Yea, I am thinking he is hitting the rev limiter too.

Does it do this while riding or sitting with the throttle pinned? If you go past the power band that would be normal.

mine did sorta the same thing it was the reeds and the needle broke i think, 1992 kx 100

It cuts out while Im riding, but not sitting. The reeds are fine, I checked them. Does anyone think the carburator needs to be cleaned.
Please Help I have to race tomorrow!!!

i got a weird feeling that tells me it could be his exhaust / power valves. from wat i understand when he pins the throttle the bike sort of bogs and looses alot of power,
so if your exhaust valves are not hooked up, they will not open and will restrict exhaust gas flow. have you ever had a top end job done lately. how long has it been doing it for??

Do you have a silencer plug?? lol. I forget to tae it out all the time.... normally it just shoots out.lol. But It could be yor powervalves.

Well I tried racing today anyhow, and the thing blew up...... or at least I'm pretty sure. In practice it wasn't cutting in and out but it was slow. Than I tried racing the first moto and just got worse. So I didn't even race the other motos. Than when I got home I was pushing my bike into my garage, and even in neutral the tire locked up and would not budge.
So now I'm just going to fix it and trade it off on a 125.
