for sure, no way id ever jump without one.
overjump + jaw + metal = bad breakage. atleast a pad will help soften the blow a little if it ever happened

i dont...it just gets in the way...
ive already had some major face damage and lost some teeth from an encounter with a bmx handlebar...so im not worried about losing my teeth again...
ooo..but a broken jaw, yep...that might sting a tad

Deffinatley bar pad. i think the bars look better with em and i'd rather hit a pad then a bar.

H*** yeah would never jump with out them, because I have very bad luck and the one time I would jump with out it I would hit the bars probaly

yeah i never used to run one on my old bike...but ive run one from day 1 on my new bike....pretty lucky 2 i guess...coupla days after getting it i came up short on a weird nautural double...only about 50 ft but pretty steep...and my face went into the bar pad pretty hard...if i wasnt runnin a bar pad the edges of my clamps prolly woulda cracked my goggles and done some major damage....i dunno i gotta learn to bail when im gonna come up short...id just rather hold on and let the suspension soak up a bit of the impact :(

the bar pad really annoys me and gets in the way and i couldnt even do barhops with the bar adaptors plus the pad but after some aftermarket triple clamps and taping it down way far its not too bad

I run one. When I had my old bars with a crossbar, I took the pad off for one day for some reason... and that day I smashed my neck into the bars pretty hard, and it sure didn't feel too good when I tried to swallow or anything. Pretty scary. So since then I've run a bar pad. When I got my TAG bars, I had to get the clamp adaptors, and they seem pretty sharp compared to my regular clamps... so yeah. I would rather not slam my face or neck into that without a little bit of padding.
