anftermarket piston wears quicker then oem. But wiseco's still a good piston. i put em in everythig i have. change the ring every month like you should (month or 2) and they work great. it adds alot of power to.

i am running a wisco at the moment but i have heard that vertex is the go the are lighter and more durable. the stock ktm pistons are made by vertex so they must be pretty good or ktm would not use em.

The vertex pistons have silicone deal in them thats supposed to make them last longer and run smoother. personally i don't know if it works.

change the piston every two months?? wow! you must race or ride 10 mins of the day! lol i got a wiseco in my current bike. ive only had it in for a month or so. but i wasnt planning on replacing it till end of year. i was just gonna put a new ring in every couple months. but im selling my bike right now, so ask the guy that is gonna buy it a year down the road!

i run a stock piston in a LA sleeve. minimum wear with good power. pings hard and loud though.

I have heard that Wiseco pistons wear out cylenders if you leave them in to long. it's because they are really hard.

ktm uses vertex and my friend has an SX125 and he replaces his rings once a year so i think vertex is the way to go i know on my KX im always changing my rings and i have a weisco

Ont. Freerider said Change the rings every 2 months not the piston. IF your gonna try and make a smart comment at least read the post first.

KTM stock pistons...lol..they wear really well...talk to a ktm dealer...they only reccomend replacing the piston once every 3 sets of rings..and they reccomend only doing the rings once a year....thats under race conditions....dont believe me?..go down to ur local ktm dealer and ask em...
