What's the biggest gap you've ever jumped?

Hmmmm...This question have most likely been asked several times before,but, i wanna know:

1.Whats the biggest gap you've ever jumped and cleared?

2.What's the bigest gap you've ever tried to clear,but...uhm...crashed!:D

biggest jump ive ever done is about 85... biggest one ive crashed on was about 65-70.. hairline fracture of the femur,.... everyone please avoid doing this to yourself.. it doesnt tickle!!

Bah.. I dont know. maybe like 80 or 85 when i overshot the ramp a bit.

i havent crashed jumping anything that big though. i think this double to table was like 50 feet, and i crashed on that. hurt pretty bad.

Biggest gap would have to be maybe 75 feet? Biggest crash was on a 98 foot table (I like to call it 100 lol)
Never really hurt myself but I anhiliated my YZ, about 950 dollars damage. Busted up a brand new shoei helmet:mad: Yea it sucked

biggest "decent" gap cleared would have to be my ramp...was only ~45 - 50 ft though.

jumped it perfect for one day, then overjumped to atleast 60 the next...then end of that...

My biggest is about 80 ft. And the biggest i've crashed on was 50 ft. but i didn't really crash on the jump i tried a no footed nac and got out there Dustin Miller style and never pulled it back and rode on the side of my bike until i came up to a tree which ripped everything on my clutch side of my bars right off and ripped my shroud and graphic off, and also tweaked my radiator, and severely hurt my knee. Then my bike happened to fall over after it hit the tree right on a nice rock, putting about a fist size dent in my PC pipe. Oh well all part of FMX! That's why i love it!

about 95 ft from my ramp and 65 ft 3 weeks ago big no footed can can and was WAY off the bike and couldnt pull back and landed next to it and the bike slamed me in the back causing a couple of broke and briused ribs a badly buised pinky and a hematoma under my right shouldermy whole side was a big bruise i have pictures i will put up soon

I'll have to confess(sp?) now(:rolleyes::D)...Biggest gap i cleared:45 feet(im on a 80:()......Biggest jump crash:When i had full trottle on a upphill jump on Upplands Väsby MX track, and overjumped the landing with about 10 feet(the jump was 30 feet).It was slippery,and i nocked my head onto the bars and crashed out in the bushes!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D...hurt my cheek and my balls!!!DOH!

I haven't crashed on any big jumps (yet), but I would probably say overjumping a 30 footer and bailing off to the side.. No injuries except a few scratches..

Hey sometimes i get time to read stuff at this site. My biggest gap was 245 ft out at glamis sand dunes. It was a big roller dune with a lip and alot of up and then way down to the bottom of the 150 ft tall dune. I would stay around 20 ft in the air but i would arch at the same time the dune was. It was sick being in the air 5th gear pinned. You have so much control in the 5 to 6 seconds of hang time. I was bad ###. Well i put in my two cents so peace out,. Robert distler

my biggest jump (well it wasn't really a gap) was a 60ft tabletop at a mates house. biggest jump stacked on? 55ft table trying a nothing and didn't get back on properly. didnt even get hurt, but then i crash on a like 20 or 30ft double and break 3 bones...its wierd

yea i got nothin on distler. largest gap completed, paced at 77'. largest stack was on the same gap, come up short, nosed into the backside, and ended up with a destroyed bike and a broken wrist.

i jumped a 100 foot sand table at a track, and won a jump comp off the thing.


and last night, i was riding my buddies cr 250 and there is this tripple stepup in town, dont know how big exactly, but i shot off it wrong and got all whipped out and cased it on this kids like mint condition 2001 cr 250 with all new black plastic, then bounced around a couple times and fell, nothing happenend luckily tho,. id say the jump was about like 70 feet or so, i dunno nothing huge, and i looped the kids bike doing a regan sieg first gear fender scraper wheelie, lol. also at an arenacross i cased the like 70 foot tripple, but held on and hurts my nuts quite a bit hahaha

Bigest jumped i have ever jumped was a 80ft tabletop at my local track. have over jumped it to aboout 93 feet though didnt wreck but hurt like H*ll !! LOL.... i looped out my cr 80 a about 2 years ago on like a lil 45 ft double in a rythme sectition and tore every legament and tore abunch of crap in my knee and broke my collar bone everybody said it was a funny watchin crash...?... i dint think so layin on the coutch the next 6 months...

Our local track has an 85 ft table, I jump around 50-60 on my yz 80, havent hit it on my kx125. I can clear it i know i can. On my 80 I was pinned in like 4-5 gear, If I pin it n 3 or 4 on my 125 Ill clear it easy. c its cool cus on the landing theres 2 little down hill little idnention things. My 80 i landed on the 1st lil dow thing, my 125 will clear it all. I love that jump because you can pin it and land super smooth. I jumped about 50 ft and the wond caught me in the air and i did a kind of wip well i landed thta way. I didnt get hurt though just some bruises! One time before that It happend and I stuck my leg out! Big mistake! Thats why I didnt do it the 2nd time!

Biggest jump i hit you couldnt exactly count as a gap, maybe you could anyway, it was 90 feet . I also over shot a 70 footer by another 10 feet .

i have 2 really funny yet brutal crashes. 4 years ago iw as on my 80 and i hit that tripple stepup logan was talking about, my susp bottemed out off the lip and i landed on my back on the curve of the landing of the stepup that hurt so bad, i thot i was paralized.

Here is one that hurt. I cased a 60-70 foot tripple and got a concussion and my Girlfriend counted 16 knots in my back, and i put my throat into my clamps. That hella hurt.

Have you been back to the jump since you got hurt on it.? And if you have do you think you could still jump it? I know the dunes are always changing and sometimes you can do a jump one week and then the next day it's no good but then the next day it's good again.

Thats INSANE man, i did that once too and it left this funny scar on my backside, for real!

anyway, i've jumped around 70 succesfully, but recently on a diffrent 70 foot hit i missed a shift and i had no choice but to hit it a gear low. i knew i wasnt gonna make it so i just held on for the ride. i got like 40 something stiches, knocked myself out, concussion, i chipped my jaw in three places, split one tooth (it now needs a root canal), and i knocked the rest of my teeth loose for a few days

I heard about that hit- right next to the 78 freeway. Didn't somebody hit that and crash horribly? Oh and by the way, I am pretty sure i saw you and John (distler) out at the Glamis restaurant one time, and another just heading over the ridge along the sand highway scouting for hits, I'm sure.

2. Ocotillo Wells by Pole Line:wasn't very long, but was really high (17 or so feet max), and you had a grip of hand time. I went through the whoops wrong and hit the wrong line which had this rock or something, anyways, endo'd and broke my right wrist

Biggest jump I've hit is a 80ft tabletop on my CRF150, made it about 50-60 feet. Biggest I can make is the 50-60 foot finish line jump at one of the tracks here in AK. Biggest jump I've crashed was maybe 6 or 7 feet long single jump with an uphill landing on my old XR80 when I was 9 or so. Later I was hitting it perfect.:cool:

How big was the old tripple into the table kinda near the front.

Different jumps require different gears. :) This was uphill with a pretty small jump. Plus I was only pinning it about 7 meters before the jump, so I guess it wasn't fully pinned.
