Go Renthal man. Either Twinwall or Fatbar. Tags suck.

the ones i just broke are renthals, i didn't even go down that hard, snapped in 1/2

were they oversized bars, or just the regular ones?
I broke my T2's in half.

But then again, my friend broke a pair of Twinwall's in half.

and my other friend snapped a pair of Pro Taper's.

All bars break. Period

That ad was a rip-off it voted some off name brand 2nd best, behind pro taper(pro taper ad of course).. Tag's rule... tapers are good too.. renthrals are just to ugly...

nope, the offbrand bar isnt offbrand, it just isnt used that much. See, everone is just buying bars because of the name on them. Tags are not that strong at all.

One thing i did notice about the test..... It beat the Renthal Fatbar... but the twinwall bar isnt in the test at all..hmmm, wonder why that could be?

that would be because it's a test of tapered handlebars only.

pro taper would have to be the strongest by miles ive got one and ive had some stacks and still no bends

I was reading the fine print in the ad, and the bars were subjected to a cycle of 350 lbs, it took the Tag's, the lowest scoring bar, nearly 23,000 cycles until they bent. I don't know about you, but I don't spend that much time on a bar, I change my bend at least once every 6 months. And in that 6 months, I don't put 8 million pounds of pressure on my bars, so I don't think I'm going to break them that way. Plus the test was done using a downward and forward motion, so stand over your bike and compress the forks and you'll be doing what they did, and I've never seen bars bend that way, so that ad, and the supposed test doesn't hold much weight. Don't believe everything you read;) Plus SoCalCRrider had it right above...all bars break, it happens. sorry for the length of this.

This is kind of off topic, but I didn't want to start a whole new topic on handlebars. Anyway, what are the Factory 909 bars are like?

i admit.. i did buy tag bars partly for the name. partly. i also liked the way the gunmetal bars looked. haha. but now that i have them, im never buying another bar.. hah. i've crashed pretty hard, and they haven't bent even a little bit.. and i LOVE the way they feel. they're awesome bars.

the fmf bars are made by pro taper

All bars are gonna bend or break depending on crash. Tag works to support freestyle and racing and makes bars for both. Buy what you can afford..your gonna bend bars if you ride.

With my KTM it`ll come with magura handlebars and that kicks, but once they bend I wana get TP bend protapers. As for 909 handle bars, I would imagine they are nice, Someone on this board must ahave a piar:)
