Oversize Bar Help

Im getting new bars here (bent my old 20$ ones lol) and I was thinking of getting over size 1 and one eigth bars (renthal twinwall, protaper, or azonic double cross) but I found out you need oversize bar clamps to..but does that mean I need a new top clamp TOO? because I was thinking that I could just take my old clamps off and get bigger ones, but I seen that the bottom part of my bar clamps mold right into the top clamps...so does that mean I will need a whole new top clamp? Or should I just get some aluminum renthals or something, itd be much cheaper since i dont have to buy no top clamps, bar clamps, and less expensive bar. Or is it worth it to buy all that stuff to get the oversize bars? Thanks for any help.

(BTW, most of my riding will be on mx tracks)

They all don't come with the adaptors you have to buy it seperately. But even if you run the regular size Renthals they shouldn't bend on ya unless you go down pretty hard.

if you have a honda, you just have to buy new bar clamps that are like about 45 dollars, if you have some other bike you may most likely need to buy the whole top triple clamp.

ok, decided to get some normal bars, but I looked at renthal aluminums and there not even available for 96 yz125s! Is there any other GOOD bar thats not oversize? thanks

Any standard size bar will fit on your YZ. There will not be a special '96 YZ125 bend. They all will fit your bike as long as they are standard size.

id just get the universal adapters! i dont know why the heck you would need a whole new triple clamp for ANY bike! prove me wrong though, i bought oversize before i bent my stock ones, so that if i sell the bike, i can throw the stock ones back on and keep my TAG's!

oversize are good cause in most cases you wont ever bend it, depends really if the fall is brutal though! but it has to be carey hart backflip brutal! lol j/j

ask mikey, he fell from 15 ft in the air and his bike landed on its side and didnt bend. so id spend the money now, get some oversize and never worry about bars again!
