Maybe you should look into an SDG seat. They are only $89 bucks for the whole seat, including a gripper cover. And they are a pound lighter than stock seats.

Great price for a full seat. Gripper covers usually run about $69 by themselves. This way, you could buy the SDG, and cut down your stock seat. Then you'll have the nice brand new SDG seat to use for racing or whatever you want it for.
