anyone ever had an Arai? I dont know about the olderones, but I have last year's VX-Pro and it retails out at $525...I got mine at an employee discount, but it was still $350....but they are worth every cent....most comfrotable thing i've ever put on my head..even more comfrotable than my Shoei...and #### tough too....

Well, I'm glad you let me know!lol I' ve had quite a few helmets painted so I have a pretty good idea what a quality paint job costs. Tell you what, you call Johnny at Blowsion or Troy Lee and tell me what they quote you for just a basic paint job. Then let me know if I was ripped off.
Of course, if you couldn't afford the helmet, much less the paint, you might see it as a ripoff.........

its just $350 (american?) for just a basic p/job like that is a bit too much . you would probably be better to go to a smaller graphics airbrush place instead of Troy lee and places like that.. i dunno about there but in aus u could get a better job done for that price.. just my opinion:p

I was looking at an Arai (after you told me that, SMP.. lol). They sure are nice this year. Too bad I don't have $525 bucks.. ;)

Dude you could've had a local guy with an airbrush paint you a helmet with a ton more detail and.. umm.. better colors for like 150 or 200 bucks. :(

His names Mac and i paint too. I could prolly do that and i'm just gettin started. plus kenji paints. he's really good maybe i can get a pic of my frends helmet. i only costed him 150 and it's way way nicer. i couldn't believe the detail they do on those helmets!!!!!!!! wow. kenji's gona do my race helmet if i'm lucky and i'm practicing on a garage sailer i found haha. But it's all good. And the only arai helmet i've seen for over 500 is the kevin windham replica it's nice too. i want it really bad. but i'd get it painted cause the paint job on it looks kinda boring. but i love that replica helmet. But i'm pretty cheap.
