MSN troubles?

anyone having trouble connecting with msn messenger?!?

I "upgraded" to 6.1, and now it wont connect...even thru trillian i cant connect, and nothing i can think of is fixing it...sooooo.....

anyone have the setup file for a version lower than 6.1? I cant find it anywhere :( tried kazaa...only virus' , no actually messenger prog..

i got the same prob... i downloaded 6.1 cuz it was suposed to be so good and it doesnt even work for me and my messenger 5 got deleted so now im stuck using crappy 4 or sumthing!!!

i just did, and it didnt help a thing.......

i think its time for a format...6.1 has screwed something up badly.

found the old version 6 that used to work for me...but no more, just get this msg

yah that happened to me so i had to delete everything to do with msn off my computer. I used trillian for a while then tried downloading new msn again and it worked.

yeah that happened to me but i just restarted my computer and then it singed in fine

I've never heard of 6.1 but I have 6 it works fine and dandy for me :cool:

ya im having troubles...everytime i click on the link it says..... "problem with shortcut......peramiter is incorrect"..or something simnliadr to thats..its been like this for a while now and im not too sure what to do.anyone else know?

i hate microsoft crap...since this msn 6.1 POS, i cannot sign into it at all (no versions)...it seems to think im not connected to the net.


Its also screwed up music match jukebox...it cant connect to cddb, so i gotta type out the track names :rolleyes:

if u got windows xp just use the windows msn but i got 6.0 didnt even know u could get 6.1 everything seems in working order for me ??

FIXED!!!

had myself all set up to format...burnt about 20 cd's of stuff...

I have Zone alarm on my comp, but it was screwing with internet explorer, so i set it not to run. Just opened it up, and now msn works!

also, the new versions of AIM disable things msn messenger needs without asking you.
