I was just wondering, who makes the best Big Bore kits? Ive heard mixed reviews on all of them. Thanks for your opinion!

takegawa makes them, 100's distribute them
81cc barrels are stamped 49cc (just like stock) cuz over in japan you have to be a certain age to ride a certain sized bike. so they make big bore kits to fool the police over there.

i noticed sano has the 81cc kit for 399 and two bros has the 88 for 439. is the 88cc kit worth the extra $40?

personally i ride the 88cc kit and have never rode the 81cc kit.
ive ridden a 75cc kit and it was closer to stock than to the 88 kit.
i say go for an 88 kit.
i just have the 88cc piston with barrel and rings/gaskets with an xr70 carb. its perfect for me, im not racing just yet.
oh ya, look for my ramp pics in the next few days!!

No the big bore if just the standard complete kits like the Tekagawa 88cc or 81cc do not cause you to go thru clutches unless you are hammering them or dont have them adjusted properly. The Superhead and Ultra big bore kits do put more load on the clutch and will cause slipping if you are a rever but can last quite a while if you are not hard on them.
