Does anybody else have this problem with the front forks? When I put on the front brakes the front end moves quite a bit. It almost feels like when the steering stem is loose and the front end shifts forward when you put on the front brakes but its the forks. Has anybody found a way to fix this? Will stiffer fork springs help the movement? Is it a worn out piece inside the forks?

It's kinda like they are gonna bust in half seth style, but at where the tubes go into the forks instead of the triple clamp huh? do you guys have the stiff fork springs? if so they raise the front end up an inch, which means the fork tubes are weaker than they were stock. Here's my forks i bent. i heated them up and bent them back, then i slid in solid tubing into each tube.

its the white thing in your forks. its made of real soft plastic. this guy makes stuff out of a special material that doesnt wear and replaces the stock ones. ille get more info.

so it's the white piece that flexes? how did you figure that out?

yeh it is like a plastic fork stableizer thing, it is buggered on
our old Z50 and makes the front end shaky as sheet

just gonna say it...the longer your fork tubes get, the weaker it'll be. I have no solution, (waitin' for hunkin to speak up!) but when i find it, i'm all for it.

off the topic but, did you guys read an article in a new dirtbike mag, i forgot which one, but they tell you how to an xr 50 into adult style. WELL, they said everytime you bottom your suspension your motor hits the ground. any thoughts or evidence about that?

Hunkin is correct!! If you have lots of movement in your fork lowers on your XR50 it is most likely caused by worn out lower guides. Us at www.sanomx.com have a replacement guide that eleminates this for a like new solid feel and they hold up to everyday beatings that we so luv to put our little 50s through!
