Whips on Triples....

Hey everyone what's up?
Well sunday i went to a track for my first race( beginner 80cc) Anyway, comming out of a left handed sweeper, they have a 45 foot triple that all the 125 and 250 riders whip on, well after watching some of them i noticed that when they whip it its because of the left handed turn that is after the triple.I guess it shaves off a few seconds of the turn time. So anyway i was wondering how to do the whips where you just turn the bike sidways and down... not the big flat freestyle whips.

just practice hittin the jump at little angles, and use your weight to turn th bike in the air.

Should i turn my handlebars too? Or will moving my body be enough?
I see the big bikes use the bars too, but they do that on all jumps, almost like its just natural?

yea i turn my bars alot, i dont know why it just feels like it straightens me up on a jump where u have to turn or sumthin. try when your in the air just to tip the bike over a bit and turn the bars like the guys in bmx do

yeah just turn the bars a bit and push it to the side with ur legs.:)

also when you do it tap the back brake to drop the front end:D

I think he's talking about soaking up a jump by getting sideways...

Grab the latest DIRTRIDER ( I THINK ) magazie and read all about it.. It shows you exactly how to do it, and how to practice doing it..

Hey thanks guys, and yea when none of the little 60cc bikes are in front of me i can usually jump it.
Can I pick up that mag anywhere?

just go look at a newsagent, im sure itll be there ;)

just go to safeway the food store you know or go to barnes and noble, thats where i get my mags(they both have dirt rider)
